Long List of companies that support SOPA

Censored Ed

Ed Censored

Please use the share buttons below to inform more people about SOPA. And the companies that are backing it. Many of the companies in that list have nothing to do with internet. A shoe company? a wire company? You ever pirate a shoe before?????

A list of Sopa supporters was posted to Reddit this morning

It’s crazy the companies you see who support SOPA

I personal oppose Sopa because I want the legal right to write a legitimate review of companies good or bad without threat of being sued for using their name to inform everyone of their business.

SOPA
(For Info on Protect IP, visit http://www.opencongress.org/bill/112-s968/money for now.  I will try to incorporate this.)

Also, it has been suggested that you should support organizations and companies that express concern with these bills.  If you do patronize these organizations, you should let them know that you appreciate that they are opposed to SOPA and Protect IP.  Otherwise, they’ll just think it’s a good season for business.
http://www.cdt.org/report/list-organizations-and-individuals-opposing-sopa

Organizations and companies that support SOPA sent this letter to congress.
http://www.theglobalipcenter.com/sites/default/files/pressreleases/letter-359.pdf

Start boycotting these goods and services immediately and let these companies know that you will continue to do so until they actively withdraw support for SOPA.

Here’s links to contact info for each company.  Try to make your message make sense.  If you’re not a lawyer, don’t threaten to boycott a company that makes law practice software.  It’s better to tell them that you’re disappointed in their decision to support SOPA and that you will tell anyone who will listen about their attack on free speech.  Maybe even mention that you’ll tweet about it or post their decision on your Facebook page.

I recommend doing the following.  Be polite, and call each of the companies.  Here’s a sample script:

“Hi.  I am calling because I found out that your company supports the Stop Online Piracy Act.  This legislation is an attack on freedom of speech.  I’ve decided to stop purchasing/watching/using your product/show/service until you actively withdraw support for the SOPA.  I really enjoy your product/show/service, but I don’t want to support companies that support dangerous legislation.  I plan to tweet and Facebook about your support of SOPA.  Thank you for your time.  Good bye.”

Writing hand written letters to these companies is also extremely effective.

4 Chan Goes Down

Internet bad boys of 4 chan are looking for a new place to go while their home site keeps popping off of the internet.
Many claim it is the act of rumored different hacker groups. Yet no one has come forward and claimed responsibility for the activity. Most likely no one will take the credit for it, and just leave the internet’s largest number of frustrated teens, to be frustrated. Downside is, this will probably lead to lots of different groups getting blamed and E-lynch mob

Moot, the creator of 4chan claims there is a ddos attack going on, and says it is coming from 1… yep 1 single user. This was posted across all pages of the site yesterday, in between crashes.

Most likely place to house the 4chan users, will most likely end up being Reddit. but count on the illegal conversations, ceasing.

Let’s see how creative the users of 4chan can be and how instinctive they are to realize if they are being duped into slaughtering each other, other groups who have similar activity, or end up congregating in a temporary spot that turns out to be a trap/sting. I believe the wise ones will not accumulate anywhere that saves data of the users. Not many places like that on the web though.

GTA V Announced as Grand Theft Auto FIVE V

GTA V Announced

grand theft auto 5 announced

grand theft auto five announced

Grand Theft auto five has been announced the official trailer comes November 2 2011
Let’s hope gtav will be fun and gta 5 will have pc version.

So far the first time they spelled out the game number and used the roman numeral V for the number 5

Vice City, I bet That’s what the V stands for :-) Instead of the roman numeral V.
On that thought the games official name is Grand Theft Auto FIVE

Note the webbing in the V relating to the webbing in a Bill . Note the Ribbon that says FIVE is similar to what you will find on a bill. Although the current five Dollar bill has no ribbons.

Was money ever made in Virginia ?

grand theft auto 5 dollar bill reference

What are your thoughts of the Next Grand Theft Auto Game to be announced? Do you think this one will be smoother and better running than GTA IV ? I suspect it will be. I am assuming this Grand Theft Auto will have the GTAIV engine, but smoothed out to run faster. with less bells but shinier whistles. And this Grand Theft Auto will be created to work  better and look newer for these 5 year old consoles everyone uses. Jeesh I hope there is a pc version coming, and they release the pc version soon enough for the pc gamers to enjoy the game with no spoilers.

Facebook message scam

So. Now they message you on Facebook and request that you look at their link to their newly built website. This in turn steals your password and begins sending out the same message to your friends.
The link I keep getting is on the odusee.com.au Website. The messages are coming from people I know and have talked to many of times on Facebook. Odusee is a real website but it looks like there is someone using their servers for malicious means. I would post the whole link, but I do not need 10,001 people clicking the link and getting messed over and holding me responsible. So what I have available is so you can confirm you are seeing the same issue.

“Please check the site that i’ve working on for a while http://www.odusee.com.au/(partial link removed)/
And tell me what you think about it. Thanks “

How to fix it.
Virus scan and change your password.

GTAIII Coming to IOS soon

You will soon be playing Grand Theft Auto III on your iphone, ipad and ipod touch soon.
This will revive GTAIII fast and could motivate Rockstar games to get back to making Grand Theft Auto more fun than technical.

Maybe we will see San Andreas Stories come to pc finally, due to influx of new funds and reduced overhead. as an app.
Would be nice to see any GTAIII and after, game come to android also. And maybe even windows mobile. But I do not think there are enough windows phones and Android phones that have the nuts enough to play any of the Grand Theft auto games, other than Grand Theft auto and GTAII or London. Unless they are on the Droid bionic, but really, not many Bionics out there.

There is also the release coming of the Claude Figure

claude GTAIII

claude in celebration of anniversary GTAIII

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Grand Theft Auto.
Claude will come with a change of cloths and a few of the game’s weapons.

The New Kindle Gets Praise

The E-Reader from Amazon The New Kindle Was launched. Today.
I am seeing posts from Kevin Rose, Mashable, Techcrunch, cnet, ZDNet all talking about the Kindle and how it is killing or taking the market.
If the new kindle isn’t evolved more than a plastic case, then … well it would look like somebody’s got money to throw in the air.
I hope the new Kindle does rock the scene, someone has to put Apple in it’s place.
Will Amazon make much profit from a world that have a lot of people who already have a device to download books to?
It seems the e-reader business would pretty much be getting limited by now. Considering the cost of this device that lets you read a book as long as your battery will last, and then the cost per book, no place to really put the thing when you are not in your car. the Kindle will not fit in your pocket. Most e-readers if left in your car stand reason for someone to break into your car. If you carry the kindle around with you, you stand a chance of crushing it. So I don’t see much reason that people would want a second e-reader. Sure it helps the environment and keeps us from using the scraps at the lumber mill to make paper from. but most people will first think of what effects them. Then again, many wont.
We shall see what happens in the latest e-reader race,

Instagram Crash

usually fount at instagr.am now nowhere to be seen. Instagram is down

instagram dns notice

screen shot of instagram error

I would have never thought in a million years that Instagram would have their data hosted on someone else’s server. But as the error reads, the folks at instagram got many notices to relocate to the new dns.
SO it’s not really a crash, rather it is an eviction notice.

But on the good side
Everything is back up and running.
This is good. For instagram
Was spooky seeing so many angry women on Facebook
lol

Spider Bite Video Scam on Facebook

Spider Bite Scam Video in Facebook

Spider Bite Scam Video in Facebook

Latest link on Facebook that steals your account and respams the same picture and link. The picture says a few things but the most part is about a woman who got bit by a spider and it lives under her skin and that the spider is a mean spider, I have also seen, mean spider bite. when you try to do an advanced report of the link, you will get this message “You don’t have sufficient permissions to do that.” or at least I do. Maybe because I report every single link I see that is a scam, and it’s pestering the staff at Facebook. Or at least one dude and killed my ability.. I have no idea.
The video is not real. There is no video in that link. If you click anything in that link, it gets much worse than what you see here. You will be talking about a virus for sure. So go scan for a virus at the link I post below labeled for virus scan.
Here are two read ups on how to handle the Facebook hack and here is another a bit deeper on the Facebook virus issue. Sorry, I am just too lazy to write it twice.
Do not click the picture on Facebook that looks like it’s a video of a woman who is bit by a spider and has something sticking out of her stomach. If you did, please change your password now. If the password for your Facebook is the same password on the email account you signed up to Facebook, change that one also.

If you have been hit by the viral spider video scam on Facebook, or someone you know has. Report the post, then delete the post if you can. and then share this page. It will help inform anyone else who gets hit by this viral attack.

Lenovo Gets Android and unoriginal Idea 2

Lenovo Gets Android and unoriginal Idea #2
Lennovo’s new tablet computer will be using Android operating system and something we never could have thought was legal. They will be calling their unoriginal idea, Ideapad K1.
Did that not make your forehead go cold from the lack of brain activity?

Look at that thing.
and now look at this.

This may be the death blow to what remains of IBM. The one giant that is nearly gone. The name, the design, the look, all look like a huge lawsuit.
Looks like they want to go down all guns failing.
Good luck Lenovo.

ANON Got Raided

35 search warrants issued. 16 arrests.
There is a large amount of blame on ANON for a lot of things.
I will not state the blame, because I do not know their level of guilt and will not accuse them.

I do know that back in the day, there was what we called a “script kiddy”. and the script kiddies fell pray to real hackers.
So just as easily, one of these people arrested, could have been using a script they got from the internet somewhere, and did not know that someone was either spoofing their I.P. address while doing something worse, or using their computer remotely for attacks. There is no telling what all is bundled in that dang script. This leaves the script kiddy with hacking software on his computer and no chance to pass a lie detector if asked if he committed a crime. This leaves the Script kiddy guilty of a crime and no proof that he didn’t commit the crime he is accused of. It would take a more thorough investigation than what I think our government is willing to perform. It would be up to the script kiddy to fund that investigation. If he can not afford it, tough luck.

This is one of the issues I try to point out all of the time. Don’t mess with it until you have thought it all the way through.
Now there will be no Anon. and who knows, we might really need these guys some day. I think we will but they won’t be anywhere to be found.

There’s no saying if the whole Rupert Murdoch is just a scrambled master Plan(t) and eventual frame up, because what he is accused of, and what ANON claims they busted him of, is exactly what they do. It’s like a crack head pointing at a guy laying knocked out and telling the cops “look he has crack” who says the crack head didn’t chunk the crack there when he saw the police???? on another note Rupert Murdoch’s wife got attacked and it looks like all of the guys near her just stood there with a look like a grumpy old lady scowling over a cup of tea. No one helped Wendy Murdoch . She took care of it all, all by herself. Most of the news out is exaggerating the moment, but she did take care of it.

Well people. Turn your computers off at night (can’t hack or zombie what’s not there), and run an up to date virus scan often. It’s all you can do.
Well, that’s the Tech news today with lots of opinion.
