Power outages map

Stay safe and don’t let your food go bad.
When Houston goes without power, we go without gas and food, and that gets rough. If you haven’t got your fuel yet and you are less than 12 hours from the storm. You are probably better off just hunkering down and saving your fuel.. Don’t use your batteries up in your equipment on the first night. Go plug your cell phone in the car charger in your vehicle, because it will eat that battery up looking for a signal if the signal is low or minimal towers are powered.

Save the bread save the water. Get the pets some place that the loud sounds won’t disturb them so much.

Be resourceful. Generators use lots of fuel. Hurricanes do more than just what the storm can do while it’s beating up your city. The time you are without common resources, can put the current American at the edge.

Go pull up those solar powered yard lights you have. They have batteries in them and they will recharge after the storm. If you can get to Home depot or Walmart, those solar powered yard lights average between $1.99 and $15.The Walmart Here in Houston, has a larger selection of $1.99 varieties. I paid $2.99 for mine and they have rechargeable batteries in them. AA size in fact. Load up on them. Buy one and check it for batteries. If it has rechargeable in it, then buy up a few.. After the storm is over, you have a cool looking yard because they do double as security. I have a stack of AA batteries that I use for my razors and a camera. I have been recharging them for a month, for free. ;-)

This site is viewable by cell phone, and the comments area is wide open. If you can keep your cell phone charged during a power outage and want to come here for any news. Please feel free to post below, I will find what ever new I can get for you and respond quickly.
