Reasons not to Aprove the H.R.6123
H.R.6123 is not a good choice, it's described by it's best side, but hides it's Communist undertone.

Anatomy of Internet Trolling
Trolls have gone from tub chick and goat boy, to Rick roll. Is that not great and sad within it's self? On one hand they have taimed down a bit, on the other hand, our rebel forces are retards now.

Leo Laporte Dropping IRC CHatroom?
Last Night after the recording of T.W.I.T. Leo Mentioned something of this.
Some of the chatroom whent nuts, the rest had o/s wars.
As long as i have known Leo, his chatrooms have been the backbone of grey cells.
We the chatters have been a group, collabrative effort to keep his show informative so we ourselves can continue to learn from him and each other. The ability to interact with him is the best part. To some day have your screen name mentioned on the show. but it looks as if he is about to uproot himself.
I truly hope he has a good plan.

Microsoft Changing it’s Social Policy yet again.
After years of chatroom service and message board communities, msn shut down their biggest advertisement revenue. Now they are closing the last door. but looks like there is something else coming from them. a partner called “Multiply” I have no idea what it is but I will research it soon. I hope it’s an msn style chat with city based rooms. It was nice metting people in my area I never met before. I made alot of great freinds that way and had some great times. but when the doors closed, we all went back to oour lifes.
Dear MSN Groups Customer,
As a valued MSN Groups or MSN Communities Web Folders customer, we want to notify you that the MSN Groups service will close on February 21, 2009 and you will have the opportunity to move your group to our new partner service, Multiply. We understand the importance of keeping your group together, so we partnered with Multiply to create a migration process that moves your group to their service to preserve your online community and its history. Read on to find out about how to kick off the automatic migration of your group to Multiply.
We realise this may be unexpected, so before presenting your options we want to briefly share why we’ve made this decision.
Why?
Because we are dedicated to providing our customers with the most current and user friendly technology available today we made the difficult decision to close the MSN Groups service. This decision is part of an overall investment to update and re-align our online services with Windows Live. In the long term we believe that closing the service is the best way to continue to offer innovative and effective services that help you stay in touch with the people you care about. We plan to launch a new Groups service in the coming weeks, but unlike MSN Groups, Windows Live Groups will focus on offering a place for small groups to collaborate. Multiply is available now, making it your best option today for continuing to share and communicate together online.Options for moving your group to a new service
We’ve listed some options and resources below to help you decide what to do with your group.
- Option 1: Automatically move your group and its data. We have established a partnership with Multiply, an online group and media sharing service so our users can choose to migrate their group to Multiply’s service. Choosing this option is free and easy to use: Multiply will move the Group’s content on your behalf and invite members to re-join your group in its new location. To begin the migration click here.
- Option 2: Start again on another service. You can start from scratch and create your group on a different service but we recommend having your Group moved automatically by Multiply. This will enable your Group to transition easily and continue to enjoy the community you have created.
- Option 3: Start again on Windows Live Groups. To further expand our mix of communications and sharing services, Windows Live will launch a new service this autumn, Windows Live Groups. We plan to launch Windows Live Groups to the public in the coming weeks as a service that helps small groups or clubs collaborate online.
Options for MSN Communities Web Folders users
If you use save files to the MSN Communities web folders (also known as “My Web Sites on MSN” or the web folder “My Groups”), these services are part of MSN Groups and will therefore will also be closed on February 21, 2009. We recommend that if you store files online using MSN Communities web folders that you back up these files locally, then upload them to another online storage service such as Windows Live SkyDrive. For more details on how to find and move files saved to your web folders, visit the MSN Groups Resource Center.Your Next Steps
We have sent this letter to each MSN Groups user, whether member or manager. If you are:
- A member or user of MSN Groups: Check with your group manager to determine whether they plan to migrate the group.
- A manager: Visit the MSN Groups Resource Center to learn more about your options and consider soliciting feedback from your group members about what they would prefer to do, when and how. The Resource Center also provides a sample splash page you can use to notify your members that the group will move. If you’re ready to move the group now, click here.
What to Expect between now and the closing date
Between today and February 21, 2009 the MSN Groups service will remain the same as it is now. We will remove the option to add more storage to your group but other features will remain until the service is shut down and you can use it the same way you do today until the date of closure.Where can I learn more?
You probably have more questions, and that’s why we created a website to address them. Please visit the MSN Groups Resource Center at any time for the most up to date answers to common questions, information about migrating your group to Multiply, contact information for our support staff, and important dates. Our support staff are equipped to answer your questions and guide you through issues that may arise as you decide what to do with your group. They are ready to help so don’t hesitate to contact them at MSN Groups Customer Support with your questions.
We thank you for using our services and regret any inconvenience this may cause.

How to own people in a forum
if you have ever wanted to know how to fight better in a forum, how to better than rick roll people in a forum. If you wanted to be a bigger man and let the whole world know that you are a greater person than they are. then you need to just poke them with a link that puts them in their place. http://truxter.org/mph/
That video will set them straight. If they are the a.d.d. type who open it and close it and tell you it sucks, there’s a little treat in there for them too.. look at the page title :-) .. that would be located at the top and in your taskbar.
Thanks to Cali lewis for the great find, she is such a sweetheart. The internet was what it was meant to be. it was meant to a be a freedom, it wa snot meant be some dill hole threating people to forcably pull their finger only to make a honk noise and laugh with everyone wondering “WTF” .
I mean it used to be violent, but now it’s just weird stupid and the meanness is lame. The elders have seen the worse, and the crack pots on it now, well , they are just looking for a way to laugh. But what they laugh at is pointless. :p)
How does one get traffic to their forum?
Man I spent 2 days setting up m forum and chatroom. I have done all i can to get traffic to them and I do get traffic, but none fricken signs up. They just show up and look around and then bail. It’s like they don’t want to be the only person posting on a vacant forum. But man, someone has to be the first to go there and post. I am tempted to make fake accounts. but I can’t see how to make posts and not feel like a dillweed.
Heck the forum is the same age as the chatroom. One month. There is no irc relation at all. My site hosts the full weight of the bandwidth. Heck I have tons of bandwidth and tons of storage . I started a contest and posted the link while trying to not be spammy.
How in the hell do I get people to post ?
Be Among The First To Join My Tech Forum
I have a forum on my site now, it’s up and running.
To me it was the nicest looking and easiest for me to use. The goal is to just start helping people with tech issues, and cover video games . Well you know, TECH content. I just want to help people and talk about some fun stuff. I have created a few categories and put some content in there. I would like some tips and ideas or maybe a few questions I might be able to answer for you.
So come on in and look around and sign up. Maybe make a post or two. Let me know you’re out there.

Sheesh, after all of the work I did, I linked it wrong.
Link fixed now.

Microsoft can’t be buying Yahoo!
Microsoft put in a bid to purchase yahoo, this was all over the news and the internet but not everyone has heard this yet. What does this say for the current state of yahoo stock ? Did this do anything to Apple stock? There was a crash in Apple stock right at the same time as the offer purchase. Did the Microsoft stock rise? Did everyone bail out on yahoo?
Is google really on top of the game like everyone seems to be saying?.. I think not. I do not think they have the banks behind them financing them as Msn or the big Y! have behind them.
I do not believe that Google is beating Yahoo or Microsoft at anything. I work on mess loads upon mess loads of computers every year. What I see when I boot up these computers and open the browser is always the same thing. Yahoo for the home page and Yahoo toolbar.
I would even go so far as to say that one in every 20 computers I work on in a year, have something else other than just plain old Internet Explorer. I mean, if more computers used Firefox (which everyone is saying is the fastest growing browser) than what I see, I would assume that more people are using the default Firefox start/home page, but they just aren’t. We all know that all start pages have search boxes.
Do I believe Google has a superior search? Well, no. Not really. It’s not like it finds stuff that the other search engines do not find.
Microsoft used to have chat rooms. These chat rooms where mostly split by the city you live in. Each populated city had a capacity of 50 people per chat room. If the chat room exceeded 50 people, an overflow room would be created. Some days there where up to 15 overflow rooms. In each room there where three advertisements with “rotating banners,” Microsoft created this line of code. The rotating banner means that the ads displayed in the ad-space would change to a new advertisement every 3-5 minutes. Most “chatters” would stay in the chat rooms for hours or days, just leaving their computer on and never exiting from the chat room. This must have been huge revenue for Microsoft, but they shut the doors on the free chat rooms and decided to put a fee on them. People where there for the free place to congregate, not because they where addicted. MSN closed the doors on the whole chat room idea simply because they have the money to toss around like that. The whole idea of being free and meeting local people in a moderated area was dead.
Yahoo, on the other hand, still has chat rooms divided by location, but not in such detail that MSN had. Yahoo divides by state. Yahoo also mandates you use their messenger because the ads are integrated in the messenger. My opinion, this is a bad idea. You can no longer just join the chat room from a link you find on the internet and install a small flash program then be on your way. You now have to download a massive install program with tons of hidden crap that you can opt out of during the install, if you read closely. This, of course, is another nail in the coffin for yahoo chat. People want their chats simple.
If Google made a city chat that was moderated by humans on an I.R.C. service like Wylderide, there would stand a great chance of zero tolerance of porn bots, additionally age verification could be worked out. Google has nothing that keeps people staring at their stuff, just glances. If Google would acquire Chatcity or revive Excite chat, hell even create something new and better, I would have no doubt in Google being on top.
Next time you are in a computer repair shop, ask the guy behind the counter “What is the most common start page and toolbar on computers you fix?” you will have your answer. Oddly enough, I find myself saying what everyone else says “Google” but truthfully it is not the most common. Not by far.
If they change their home page at all from Msn, it’s Yahoo…………………..
