looks like I am above low end, almost at high end, except I am on a dual core duo. not a dual core quad.

Although my processor is a higher rating than the quad core, it is still a dual duo.

See I use pc pistop because it is easy small and fast. not a huge detailed benchmarker for my computer I know, but it also isn’t very taxing on my machine. Some benchmark programs can be to much for your pc and break it by over stressing your components. Pcpistop is a light weight low stress test . it’s over in like 2 minutes. I make the score, I look at it, I tweak my machine I benchmark again and see if I got any faster. It’s great, free and easy…

So if you want to see if you are capable of playing the game, bench your machine and post your link to your score.

Gtaiv Propaganda new mailing list update

There is a virus sweeping through Grand Theft Auto IV turning many unsuspecting players into Zombies. If you’ve seen the special Zombie-with-yellow-briefs player skin running around during Grand Theft Auto IV multiplayer, then you may already know that the virus can be contracted in any and all multiplayer modes and is spread when an unsuspecting player kills someone who has the infection (note that the infected don’t necessarily have to be wearing the Zombie skin, some show no symptoms!). The signs of infection are: access to the zombie skin and having the Achievement “Let Sleeping Rockstars Lie”. With the all-new Viral Infection feature at the Rockstar Social Club, members can now see whether they are currently infected, the number of total global infections and the number of infections in the last 24 hours. Digging deeper, Social Club members can also browse a color-coded world map tracking the spread of the infection worldwide, including breakdown for all 50 US States. New GTAIV On Pc Media coming real soon

Rockstar Uk invited a few people from variouse websites to come demo the game. GTa4.net thinks it will be weeks before we see anything. I have seriouse doubts. If I undrstand Rockstar, they will release Video footage and screen shots probably the day of the “Meeting” . I am pretty sure that the very second These people enter the building, flicker accounts will be seeing images, and twitter and jaiku will get bombarded with text snippets.

Then again, not everyone plans to be usefull for everyone else around them.

GTAIV For Pc Download

Grand Theft auto, the very first grand theft auto was up for trial or demo for months before and years after it’s official release date. GTA2 did the same thing. People soon figured out how to crack the demo so you could get the full game. Why did they put the whole game in the demo? end result, the game actually played smoother and faster and better, from teh cracked version over the full install.

Gtaiii did not, nor did any pc version after.

I am quite sure the searches for torrents are probably taking down the pirate bay. But rest assured , it will be better if you buy this game from Steam . That is of course if you really must download the game. In situations like you are waaaaay to far from any store that will sell it. I myself want the full package, I want the map, the case, the disc the whole nine yards.

I will fully install the game from the disc I purchase. I will also purchase the game on steam, I will play both.

I will surely have to crack the game to get it to work on linux. I will help others in making gtaiv work on their linux box.

There is a large community of us, about 2000 user from gtaforums.com who will do anything and everything to stop torrents from distributing compies of GTAIV. We will make every effort to report the people who seed illegal copies of the game, and in doing that, the people who download while the seeders get busted, will get caught also. So it is strongly advised that you wait your time like the diehard gta fans are doing. If you have to have it sooner than others, or any other reason you must download it, go to steam.

The first details and screenshots of the PC version of GTA IV have emerged online today. Features revealed include a replay editor, better search options for matches online, the ability to play with a controller instead of keyboard and mouse (for all the masochists out there) and of course polished visuals worthy of the platform. Oh, and also fingerless gloves.

• The number of multiplayer slots may be expanded for the PC version (16 is the limit for the console versions).
• The maximum resolution is 2560×1600.
• Players can record 30 second clips and then they can add filters and adjust the camera angle using the replay editor. They can also paste clips together and then upload them to R* Social Club for others to view online.
• Players can search for multiplayer games more specifically (e.g. a deathmatch with pistols only).
• The Xbox 360 controller is compatible with the PC version.

We have all seen the one from mylasia.

Now we have one from Italy that looks like a tabloid mag.

Now don’t shoot the messenger if this turns out to be a photoshop fake from a non-existant magazine.

Maybe they know something, maybe they are just a rumor monger. Maybe it’s two kids just playing around trying to make a popular fake image that circulates the net.

As of right now, this is all you can see on rockstar’s website about grand theft auto IV

To me it just sounds like one of the regular kids in the gta forums

But really, it translates to they speculate the game will be October 2008. because past games  are april and October, or 8 months.  really it could be April next year before they even mention the game on pc, or no game on pc. It could release October 2009.

But, the main thing to think about is, bait. Rockstar does not and can not say that it will not be releasing a pc version, or share holders will jump ship.  Rockstar as wise as they are  could be waiting  till after the release of the downloadable content (DLC) and show share holders how the income can be multiplied by some fee for the Downloadable content. Once they can prove that the income is greater with this “New Plan”, then they can say  ” It would be too costly to build a game that has been out for a year, and it would not sell as much as we have made with the DLC, but we have new dlc coming very soon” .

See you keep the share holders hanging with a great taste (like a drug dealer does to the addict) and make them more money while you make yourself more money.

hmm I might just go grab a huge chunk in their stock right now. BUT  I AM NOT SUGGESTING YOU BUY ANYTHING BUT THE NEXT GAME.

Fake Magazine For gtaiv circulates the web

Someone posted the image of the pcgamer magazine that suposedly came out in july. It has the picture of niko belic on the cover. I did my research and found that pcgamer.com does not exist  but pcgamer.com/my does. it is a two week old website.

on the site they claim to have their hands on a Malaysian pc game magazine that has news about gtaiv on pc “coming soon”

The fake print out is shrink wrapped to look like it is official.

There are many factors here to look at. One it’s a country where not every speaks english but the magazine is in english. two it’s the end of july and we are just now seeing the july issue?.. I’m sorry but the gtaiv for pc crowd, would have dug this up and it would have hit digg.com instantly.

I can’t quite tell the date. I am assuming it will be April to stay in the release sequence.. or april will be when the first video advertisement is released. Meaning we will not see it till october. I wonder how close in hand this goes with Windows live going free a couple days ago.

I can not help but think it’s fake.
I have never been to that country
But I can really bet they do not speak English.

Why is it a July issue? Shouldn’t we be seeing the preview issue of next month?

Don’t they release the next month’s issue to subscribers like 3 weeks early?
Why hasn’t anyone come forward sooner?
I mean if I am wrong about how soon issues are released.

Why is it the end of july before anyone came out with this image?
and the one on the site, looks like a photo shopped mock up of what is in the shrink wrap on the shelf full of English speaking books and mags, in a country that might not be English only.
