You can benchmark with a fast easy tool from pcpitstop
Here is my pcpitstop benchmark score
Minimum System Requirements
Windows Vista - Service Pack 1 / XP - Service Pack 3
1.8GHz Intel Core2Duo or 2.4GHz AMD Athlon X2 64
1.5 GB of RAM
16 GB free hard drive space
256MB NVIDIA 7900 / 256MB ATI X1900
Recommended System Requirements
Windows Vista - Service Pack 1 / XP - Service Pack 3
2.4Ghz Intel Core 2 Quad or 2.1GHz AMD Phenom X3
2 GB of RAM (Windows XP) or 2.5 GB of RAM (Windows Vista)
18 GB Free Hard Drive Space
512MB NVIDIA 8600 / 512MB ATI 3870
looks like I am above low end, almost at high end, except I am on a dual core duo. not a dual core quad.
Although my processor is a higher rating than the quad core, it is still a dual duo.
See I use pc pistop because it is easy small and fast. not a huge detailed benchmarker for my computer I know, but it also isn’t very taxing on my machine. Some benchmark programs can be to much for your pc and break it by over stressing your components. Pcpistop is a light weight low stress test . it’s over in like 2 minutes. I make the score, I look at it, I tweak my machine I benchmark again and see if I got any faster. It’s great, free and easy…
So if you want to see if you are capable of playing the game, bench your machine and post your link to your score.

There is talk all over the net right now that EA games bought GTAIV game engine Euphoria.
Just Google it
What does this mean for the future of GTA ?
What does this mean for the future of Ea’s video games?
Are we about to see some really good EA games coming up? Does this mean the next True Crimes is actually going to be good? Does this mean that Rockstar has a whole new better engine in mind?
Or is this a rumor?
Seems it broke on the 15th August 2008. So far all I see is people asking if it is true. As I amd doing.
Is It true?

I am quoting myself from a forum thread
on GTAFORUMS.COM
Ok now I have hope.
Rockstar games has done something they where not doing before.
Before now they had on their page “gtaiv out now”
but now it says “out now for xbox360 and ps3″
Wich is the way they used to do it , and that left a huge clue
that it was about to come out for more platforms.
I know that isn’t the biggest clue.
but try it, go to grand theft auto.com
and put your mouse over the gtaiv link and it will drop
a description.
To me this is great news..
Sorry if it isn’t the biggest for you guys.
but about 20 pages back, this was exactly opposite and I posted
a lack of hope.
Keep smiling folks, We might just get our way.

Rockstar Games put up a new page
New page
It looks like the pc version of any grand theft auto, has once again been put on the back burner. It looks like we just might not ever see grand theft auto come to the personal computer ever again.
A fourth game to come to a portable gaming system, is the third portable game to be created and not be ported to pc since GTA San Andreas. It is so far the fifth game to have been created to not be made for pc gaming.
As of now the games to not be moved to pc are as listed. This includes portable and full blown console games.
1. gta advanced
2. Grand Theft Auto Liberty City Stories
3. Grand Theft Auto Vice City Stories
4. Grand Theft Auto GTAIV
5. Grand Theft Auto China Town Wars
I am assuming they are going to use the china town section of liberty city from GtaIII and Liberty City Stories. If this happens, can we see a port coming to Nintendo Wii? can we see a few Gta Rockstar grand theft auto games coming to the Nintendo Wii soon? I think we can.
More on this topic
This image might be a fake.
Found in thread
The simple facts are as of now.
Nintendo ds game coming in December
it is called Grand Theft Auto Chinatown Wars.
No News of pc GTAIV
No news of any psp releases yet
of anything new.

I was watching a YouTube video about how some guy stumbled upon a GTA IV offer on
Take Two Interactive’s Web site here. It’s fake and I could explain how simple and the 500 ways you can fake it, but hey if you are dumb enough to believe it (after what I have to show you), then hey, you will not understand me.
OK. While watching the address to the links he was clicking, and since it was blurry and all I had to go through and click all of the same links to bring me to page that did not exist. it led me to the lawsuit it received for the last game it put out for PC.
It seems Rockstar and Take Two will not be participating in the whole (edit my stuff) game anymore.
the page is addressed in his bar.
That will take you to a page that has one link in it and it mentions GTA.
You might want to read what it says.
Class action suit
There have been two games that have not made pc. it has been four years since we got to w.a.s.d. up down left right space bar shift ctrl 0 e-q and of course “R” to change to the closest lazlow show.
left click right click and spin the scroll wheel to find our favorite gun, or just hit the hot key we assigned.
The only way I could any hope or faith, is if there was an announcement of the cities being released for pc while we wait for a better graphix and bugs fixed version of IV to be ported but that won’t happen.

Taking a break from designs and such. Taking a time out to play some multi-player grand theft auto.
For ever the guys at MTAVC.com have been my hook up. But now I see that the guys at Sa-mp are ahead in their game.
So now I am sitting around playing Grand Theft Auto San Andreas with my son. It seems nice to go back to ol` san andreas and sanfiero and play some , well I have no idea what to call this. First person shooter action racing?
Anarchy?
200 people and it’s every man for himself?

As far as we know right now, GTA 4 will be released for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 at the same time on April 29th. The hold up that prevented the game from being released on the 16th of October 2007 was that Sony wanted the same content at the same time as Xbox, as opposed to being released in patches. There was talk from The Rockstar camp that there would be special Internet related content for each console. The content was supposed to be console specific. It turns out that is not the case now. Neither console camp could agree with what they had been assigned as “special content.” Now it looks like the only online content we will see is media and special in game ringtones, for the phone you use in the game, and or notifications of when content is ready. Really it is unclear what they are saying so please do not hold this to heart.

We have heard about EA bidding for Rockstar Games and Microsoft bidding as well.
What I have heard today is that Sierra is being bought out by Blizzard games. Sierra is the maker of most Blizzard expansions anyhow, and will just take on the Blizzard name. Sierra also made expansions to many first person shooters. Let’s see what happens in the future.
In the back of my mind I see it being cool to mix two companies but somehow the stupid section is making the most sense. “Hey, I will be limited in choices” if all gaming companies merged into one.

Well I have my Grand Theft auto vice city and my GTA San Andreas working just fine under Linux. Having an issue with gtaIII at the screen where it is saying it is setting up for my video card and then it just locks up, unsure what happened.
I have Delta force one and two working fine, I am now working on getting black hawk down to work and will be headed to making deltaforce extreme work on Linux. I will be helping you guys all get through this . My ultimate goal is to play online with anyone of the deltaforce games after deltaforce one. I wouldn’t mind a nice capture the flag or TeamDeath Match and not have to worry about some brat hacking me because I set myself to DmZ on my router for open ports.
After that works I will be moving on to Need For Speed. Carbon and most wanted .(i actually like most wanted a lot more).
If anyone is already deep into either one of these and making them work on linux please hit me up with a little help, I may not be as far along as you.
Thanks guys for reading this stuff, this is fun.
