Coca Cola and Android

Coca Cola and Android team up to let you buy a coke for someone in another country, using Google translate to let you send the message you add in the language of their local language.

I guess it all depends on what you consider “the local language”.

It will get exploited.

What has Google plus Become

Google Plus is declared as a social experiment.
I have watched Google plus go from just extreme geeks exchanging tips, tricks, suggestions and information between each other, to podcaster spam, to what now seems like the coffee enthusiast college mind that has just woke up to how corrupt the world is.

Maybe not for everyone else, but for me, Google plus has become a website full of people who want to talk about the movement they are in, and to laugh as much as possible.

Google Plus has taken on a large crowd of intelligent people looking for more information and more people who want more views. This place is growing at a crazy fast rate. Google+ is everything that all of the past social sites have claimed to be, yet it still holds a bit of demeanor that says “I respect me”.

I am willing to see this thing through and see where it goes. I just hope Google doesn’t scrap the site before it gets it’s chance.

Google Or Comcast -Trust

Who do you trust more? Google or Comcast?
One is in your phone and in your web browser and in your toolbar and in your operating system and is very well known for saving your data.
The other is known for throttling bandwidth (implies already capable of filtering your traffic), feeding you super high speeds but setting ridiculously low monthly download max.

Who seems more like they have a scary trick up their sleeve?

Google Retires Hosted Domains

Google is retiring the ads program for websites that have no content.
Letter from Google about retiring their domain squatter advertisements.

Hi,

We’re contacting you because you’re using AdSense for Domains to monetize your undeveloped domains. After evaluating the benefits of our partner network, we’ve decided to retire the Hosted domains product within AdSense. Going forward, undeveloped domains will only be served through our existing AdSense for Domains distribution network.
Our records show that 7 of your Hosted domains will be affected by this upcoming change, which will follow the schedule below:

March 21: You’ll no longer be able to create new Hosted domains
April 18: Hosted domains will become inactive and it’ll no longer be possible to earn from them
June 27: Hosted domains will no longer be available in AdSense accounts

To continue monetizing your undeveloped domains, you can migrate your domain portfolio to any domain parking provider. Find out how in our Migration Guide:
Migration Guide

Please note that this upcoming change won’t affect any other AdSense products you’re currently using or the availability of other products to you. In addition, reporting on your Hosted domains will remain available throughout the schedule above and for a period following the retirement.

For more information see the Help Center. We appreciate your understanding and thank you for your patience as we continue to develop new features and offerings within AdSense.

Sincerely,
The Google AdSense Team

Google Rearing up to by yahoo?

Story is that Google is gathering info to buy yahoo, meanwhile they just purchased a large office space to house thousands of employees.
Speculations:
Could this be to house the Yahoo employees that keep?
Could this be to just start a whole new venture, and by checking the cost of yahoo, they will start a new place and use the yahoo value as the bar for expense limits?
Could this all be a distraction?
What will this mean for Yahoo/Msn Handshake?
Are they just going to shut down the rights to all yahoo code?

One thing sure we can count on, is if Google buys out yahoo’s search engine and patents, there will be lots of toolbars coming down.

Everyone is seeing “not ranked” or “Unranked” or “page rank 0” when they check the page rank of their website. This has many SEO in a twist.

Google to Drop Old Adsense Interface

The old adsense interface will be dropped soon. Yep that’s right, you will be shoved into the new one. Of course the new Adsense layout is quite informative and allows you to fine tune your Adsense ads, a little better. but the monitoring of page traffic is even less informative than the current, soon to be extinct page traffic.
You sure do get a whole lot more menus with the new Adsense user menu, but the question I have to ask is, why couldn’t they just ad the new to the old ? why drop what is existing and give us what is new and not have both? Just always seems fishy when we get shoved into acceptance like this. Somehow we just accept that things will never make sense and the lack of informative data replaced by bubbles and menus, is the rule of anything software.
Not saying I don’t like the new Adsense user interface, I don’t dislike it at all. Except for the traffic stats page just says “AdSense for Content” it does not show what ads, or where, while the old one already shows more information about site traffic, and well, that ones pretty slow too. but again, that traffic has to be verified and proven before it can count. And I completely get that. I think.

But . here’s the email I received today showing that the change is about to happen.

Hi,

Since releasing the new AdSense interface to all publishers, we’ve been continuously working to improve and support the new version. With that in mind, we’re writing to let you know that we’ll soon be retiring the old AdSense interface and asking all publishers to use the new interface.

If you haven’t already, we recommend switching to the new interface as soon as possible to familiarize yourself with the updated layout and new features. To do so, sign in and click the ‘Try the new AdSense interface’ link in the upper corner of your account. We understand that this adjustment may take some time, so you’ll still be able to toggle back and forth between the old and new interfaces during the coming weeks. You’ll see another notification in your account as we approach the date when this option will no longer be available.

As a reminder, the new AdSense interface offers additional insights in the form of detailed graphs and reports, new ad blocking controls, and increased efficiency through a visual redesign. We’ve now added many of your top-requested features — including the ability to create scheduled reports and view channels on the Home tab. We encourage you to watch our video tutorials at http://www.youtube.com/user/InsideAdSense#g/c/B067D355E59D96E0, which will guide you through completing common tasks in your account. You can also find detailed information in our Help Center for the new interface (http://www.google.com/adsense/support/as/).

With this transition, we’ll be able to focus on building new and improved features into the new interface more quickly. Thank you for your support, and we appreciate your patience and cooperation.

Sincerely,

The Google AdSense Team

Okay, can we go ahead and add the affiliate market to the Adsense account? why do they have to be two separate sites?
When you finally make the move to the new interface, go to the allow & Block ads, that is probably the greatest thing since advertisements on websites, ever began.
I do have to say they held onto the old interface for quite a long time, and that is more than fair of Google.
Maybe someof the features of the old interface just aren’t compatible with the new.
