Grand Theft Auto Five San Andreas – Screenshots

San AndreasPlates

)Here are some videos of GTA V Photoshopped. All for fun)

Why did I move here? I guess it was the weather,
Or the, I don’t know that thing, that magic,
You see it in the movies,
I wanted to retire from what I was doing,
You know, from that, that line of work,
Be a good guy for once, a family man,
So, I bought a big house, came here, put my feet up,
Thought I’d be a dad like all the other dad’s,
My kids, will be like the kids on TV, we play ball and sit in the sun,
But, well, you know how it is.

Reminds me of This

Grand Theft Auto Five Is In San Andreas
Sure sounds like the voice of Tommy Vercetti.
Says he wants a place to chill and not be such a bad guy (not a direct quote just my take) so it would fit.
The game engine for GTA V is clearly a tweaked GTAIV engine
You can see the textures are about the same but a bit better handled. This is good. Not as much bloat … maybe?
Will there be a Las Venturas in this installment of Grand Theft Auto? or do we have to wait for an expansion pack?

So… What in the heck did the V stand for ?

Now the proper question is …. What platforms?
PC IS the one I want to know about.

IGN has Confirmed that Ray Liotta is not doing the voice of Tommy Vercetti. Does not mean that Tommy is not going to be in GTAV but it also does not rule out Claude. As he says in the video, he came her for the weather… and it was always rainy in GTAIII. SO heading to San Andreas to retire, would be a move.

but I thought everyone retired to Florida, unless already in Florida.

How to Fix GTAIV pc Memory leak

If you have a computer and plan to play  Grand Theft Auto iv  on pc.

People are  reading forums on how to resolve issues with their game. They are gathering information from people who do not know what they are talking about. I will help you with just a couple steps. First you have to understand that the person who claimed GTAIV pc has a memory leak, has no clue what he/she is talking about and should clearly be labeled the planets biggest idiot.  All planets need an idiot.

The fix, is the same fix for all games using a new architecture/engine. Here is the fix.

Go to the website for the manufacturer of your motherboard. Download all drivers for your motherboard.

Go to the website for the manufacturer of your video card.

Now before installing the new drivers, you must uninstall all the drivers you currently have installed.  I usually disabled the plug and play option in Control PanelAdministrative Toolsservices. Of course I do this on Vista because it keeps trying to install some crummy drivers  when I reboot after an uninstall. You really shouldn’t need that, but if you do, you know how.

Ok after the uninstall reboot your computer, and now install your drivers one by one, rebooting after each driver installed. On the final driver install, instead of rebooting, shut down your pc. When the pc is off, unplug the power to it. Clean up all the dust in all of your heatsinks (cpu, gpu, northbridge, south etc) clean your memory sticks. Remove all dust out of your pc. Make sure your air flow is heavy through your case.

The way I do that is, at the back of the pc where you see the 80 mm fans. There is like a grill around those. Since I don’t have a 2 year old kid in my house, I snip those grills out. This drops my temperature by about 2-5 degrees C . Here’s more on the subject.

And the last thing for you. DON’T OVERCLOCK YOUR MACHINE, unless you know what you are doing.

I am a regular user at the gtaforums  located at gtaforums.com.  100% of the memory leak complaints there, have been resolved with driver issues, heat issues, or the moron tried to overclock and did not want to face the fact that his computer was the issue, not the game.

In the end, this help post will get you playing Grand Theft Auto IV, that simple. The game works fine. Maintain your rig or go back to the console gaming. The cause is not overclocking it’s self, but poor overclocking could be a factor. If your machine is overclocked, set your o/c items back to default and give the game a go. If you can get the game running with your parts clocked to normal, gradually work your way back up in o/c until you reach a stable setting.

How? As if you are overclocking your video card, move each slider (depending on the tool you are using) up by 5mhz, test the game, move up 5 more, test the game and so on till you get a crash. After crash, move sliders back three. When it stables out, move forward one, if it crashes move it back one. and so on. Helpful posts

Same with bios / cmos settings with memory and cpu. Except not with sliders of course. Yes it is tedious but it resolves your issue.

Here is a lesson in how to adjust your  settings for smooth video play

And here is the whole help page from Rockstar.

Note: You must have Vista Service Pack 1 or Windows XP Service Pack 3 installed PRIOR to installing and running
Grand Theft Auto IV PC.
Right-click ‘My Computer –> Properties’ to see if you have the latest Service Packs installed, and if not check Windows Update and download before trying to install the game.

To help you understand that. It means that if you installed the latest service pack for your operating system  AFTER you installed GTAIV. It would be wise if you uninstall the game and delete all folders now. and reinstall the game.

Somewhere there was talk of resetting your registry but I haven’t had to study that. I will look into it if needed.  Yes it sounds like a hassle, but it does tell you on the box what the required service pack would be.  Fyi  windows xp 64 , you have to have service pack 2, or it will tell you it’s an incompatible operating system. 64 is not listed in the req area :-(

It does work though.

GTA IV PC SWingswet Glitch

The glitch is confirmed, it is there in the PC version also
one minute video, shouldn’t harm anyone to wait one minute.

for the record I have
amd2 5600 dual core
Nvidia 9500 gt 512 mb
4 gigs of Ballistix pc6400 ddr2 memory
Windows Vista Service pack 1
22 frames per second looks like that.

The pop ins didn’t happen until I converted the game.
Strange how that worked.

Anyhow I found where everyone went on the xbox 360 version and the playstation 3 version of the game, and decided I would drive there in a Banshee. I mean why not, it’s a fricken Banshee!!!
The swingset shreds that car fast.

We are pleased to present today’s launch of the all–new Millionaires Club – recognizing and celebrating all of the wealthy seven–figure Grand Theft Auto IV players at the Rockstar Games Social Club. Millionaire status is determined by totaling all of the money you’ve ever earned in single–player–mode from completing missions, winning races, doing vigilante side–jobs, and fortuitously picking up ‘dropped’ money in the street.

Come and see if you are a bona fide Millionaire, as well as where your single–player time to reach a million compares against all the other nouveaux riche ‘business men’ of Liberty City. If you would like to see just how rich your fellow Millionaires are, you can mouse over each for a quick glimpse of their lifetime single–player money earned. With three leaderboards ranked by who’s become a Millionaire first, who’s done it quickest, and who is the richest in the City. Grand Theft Auto IV Social Club registrants, simply enter the Social Club and click on the GTAIV area to browse to the Millionaire’s Club to see if you’ve earned access.

Multiplayer Leaderboards are in full effect at the Social Club, fully populated with the statistics of Xbox Live® and PLAYSTATION®Network members who have been wreaking havoc with Grand Theft Auto IV online modes. Registrants can access the boards to see who is top dog in any and all of the 13 multiplayer game modes – as well as leaders in overall scoring across all modes. See where you stand in the scheme of Grand Theft Auto IV online maniacs worldwide.

Just one of the many attractions in the works for the Rockstar Social Club, the Viral Infection zombie feature is coming very soon. Let’s see just how far the infection has spread. More information to come.

The Odds of GTA IV On PC

We all want to know ” Will Grand Theft Auto IV come to the computer?”

Let’s look at the odds by looking at the past games that have come out.

Grand Theft Auto and GTA2 came out on PC before they came out on console. GTAIII changed the pattern with it’s release for the Sony Playstation. Grand Theft Auto 3 and the Rockstar and take two families allowed the console gamers to get first crack at the world of Liberty City. The game makers just dropped them into a world of free roam with nothing but their thumbs mashing the controls, doing things that people used to do with all ten fingers. Right away, issues became noticed. The problems where stuff like the A.I. would lose control or just get stuck on simple obstacles they could have just walked around. Users also noticed what is called “pop-ins.” A ‘pop-in’ is when you are moving through this world, then suddenly a bush or a bridge just appears from nowhere, “bam, now it’s just right there” and it was not there a second ago. So Rockstar games amazed everyone with the announcement of GTAIII for the PC. The PC version had a better draw distance and I.A. was tweaked. The question is, did they make a PC version just to shut people up and make more sells?

Grand Theft Auto Vice city came out for the PS2 before it came out for the computer game players. There wasn’t any announcement of a PC version until two months before it’s release. Again, the game was tweaked and looked better on the PC. In my opinion, Vice City was a duller game than GTAIII since Rockstar stripped so much out of the GTAIII engine that it removed most of the ambiance. The items removed where all atmosphere and did bog down consoles and video cards. Nowadays, computers and consoles are finally strong enough to handle that much stress. Again, I ask “Did they make the PC version just to sell more of the same game, even to repeated customers?”

San Andreas, they never even told us it would come out for the computer. While working on San Andreas to be released for the computer (nearly a year after the console version), Rockstar games was also working on Liberty City Stories.

Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories where first announced to be created exclusively for a portable gaming console called “playstation portable,” aka PSP. Six months after both were released, news was announced both would be released for the Playstation2. Neither one have yet to be released for the PC.

So far, there is no announcement of a Grand Theft Auto IV coming out for the personal computer. This next game is now set back to be released on April 29th of this year. If things would have been on schedule (agreements with console makers, etc.), the once again revisit to Liberty City would have been on time, and we would have already heard the news about a computer version. Since the console version was delayed, could it be that the PC version’s news was also delayed, or pushed to be released one year from the original release date of the console version?

Since we have not received a PC version of Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories, nor any news of GTAIV on anything but Xbox360 and Playstation3, I can only expect that Rockstar games would much rather put the “Stories” games and San Andreas out for the Wii console. Long before we will ever see a PC version of any, especially the newest.
