Wireless Wars

wifi_warsSo.. I found that one of my neighbors (not sure which one) finds it funny to get into my wifi and reboot it randomly.
oh boy, so you can hack a wifi. You smart little wifi hacker you.

So…

I turned off the wifi broadcast for about an hour and headed to the garage.
Brought in my box full of wireless routers.

logged into each one, and gave them the name my wireless connection had.
and ran through them all turning wifi back on. then placing them around the house at all walls and corners I could.

Log back into my actual wifi, and turn off ssid broadcasting and changed password. ad changed the actual ssid.

So.. basically I gave my neighbor a hand full of routers that don’t have an internet connection at all, to my neighbor to pointlessly play with.
Takes one down, there’s 7 others.

stupid little twit.

I will if I have to, run to fry’s and load up on a bunch of 14 dollar routers and name each one after each of the signals I see broadcasting.

Latest Facebook Vanity Hack is mean

facebook hack

Facebook hack

yep. another hack that has people wondering who looks at their Facebook page, fighting for their account.
The message displayed is “I just found out Who Has Been Checking Out My Profile” and then below is a picture that has the word (cut off a bit to entice your to click it) “KNOW WHO HAS BEEN STALKING YOUR PROFILE” and of course a link to any number of different versions of the app now created on Facebook..
Latest hack to Facebook accounts creates a personal page from your account with random alpha-numeric symbols, plus adds it’s self to your apps and creates a new app under developer section.

You must unlike that page (look here) and you must remove access to your account from that app (start here), and then delete the app from your app developer’s section, now change apps password (here), then change your password to your account(here).

Now would be a good time to scan your computer for a virus.Try this virus scanner. Or any virus scanner on this page

From someone being burned by this

From the top of your Page, click Edit Page
Select Update Info
Select Apps from the left sidebar
Click Edit Settings beneath the app you want to remove
Click Remove
that’s the fix
it deleted the page

I must warn you though, as she was typing this, the hack was still steadily posting.

Her new update

From the top of your Page, click Edit Page
Select Update Info
Select Apps from the left sidebar
Click Edit Settings beneath the app you want to remove
Click Remove — this is what you have to do to delete the page and app that was installed. THEN, you or someone else has to report the activity. Then you have to go through security measures to verify your account. Change your FB password, change the password(s) you have associated with any emails for FB and cross your fingers, toes, put your shirt on backwards, take one shoe off, etc.

And please, stop clicking those vanity links. They never work.

Which celebrity you look alike, facebook exploit

UPDATE
This page is coming down because I will not help Facebook if Facebook doesn’t help you.
and it is in your best interest to leave that place. It is everything myspace was becoming when we all left.
Facebook banned me because I will not send them a picture of my driver’s license.
UPDATE

Latest exploit to facebook is the “Awesome, Which celebrity you look alike? : http://www.facebook.com/CelebslikeYou/app_XXXXXXXXXXXXX”

Looks like Facebook has allowed an ap in their network that is exploited. or extremely stupid. I just had 5 female friends fall for that dang thing, and there seems to be only three pictures that the ap uses to tell people they look like. There is no logic to the ap at all. Long face looks like round face, brown hair looks like blond, curly hair looks like straight. Wide eyes look like tiny eyes.

facebook.celebrity.scam

I am not sure if the ap has a virus in it or not, but it looks like it’s bogus and the ap is just used to get you to willingly give up your personal information.
One thing for certain, this is an Exploit in your gullibility.
Here’s how you remove all personal information access that this ap has tricked you out of.

look to the top right of your facebook page
Next to the word “Home” is a triangle pointing down. Click that and select “Privacy settings”.
privacy setting facebook

Now move your mouse to where you see “edit settings” to the right of

Ads, Apps and Websites
Manage your settings for ads, apps, games and websites.

Click on edit settings.
apps.setting

Next you will see a small window section that says “Apps you use” on the right of that you will see “edit settings”
aps.you.use

Click the edit settings button and delete everything you no longer care for, including the ap you just installed

Now would be a great time to change your Facebook password also.

Facebook Virus FARM

The Real Post about the Face Book Spider Bite scam video

The Virus is called “Koobface”
These are the koobface facebook virus files you need to kill
fbtre6.exe , mstre6.exe
These are the registry entries you have to remove from registry
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Run\”systray” = “c:\windows\mstre6.exe”
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Run\”systray” = “C:\Windows\fbtre6.exe”

People.. Please. The same stupid virus that has been getting you people since back in the first days of Myspace, is now getting you guys again on Facebook. The virus says ” Wow I can’t believe I can really see who looks at my profile” maybe an exclamation point or two.

How to fix the Facebook virus issue.

Please start with running a virus scan. Any of a good selection of virus scanners will do. If one virus scanner does not find the Facebook virus, try another. There are many listed on that page.
If you can access another computer, please change your Facebook password from another computer while the scanning goes on.
and delete any posts that link to the virus. GO TO YOUR PROFILE TO SEE ALL THE POSTS YOU MADE. You have to delete them to do your part in containing the issue.

I have been fighting the whole facebook hack junk since the end of 2010

Please people, you have to look at the links, look at the Facebook Status posts before you just go wildly clicking.

So in this order: scan your computer for a virus, change your password, delete bad posts. done.

How did you get hacked so fast?
You clicked the link, it used some of the Facebook authentication certificate and fooled your computer into trusting it, it gave up your password that you have saved (to make it easier to log in next time). BAM.
The bad ones are from you downloading something that was titled funny so you just had to see what it was.

Also if you are not into the free software that I link on the next page… Look to the right, there are legit ads from Google. Any of them will do. Google only recommends the good stuff. I can assure you that your virus will be removed using Norton or Macafee or any of the big name paid real virus scanners.

Please hit the share button below for your friends on facebook.

Facebook Accounts getting Hacked like crazy

Today I have seen 4 Profiles get hacked on Facebook.
I posted a month ago Warning facebook dislike button fake.
For one thing y’all. That dislike button looks like crap.
But still, I saw Starbucks get it’s account spammed from. and I have seen multiple females get their account scammed and spammed.
People stop clicking links in Facebook please. This isn’t 1995. We are not that vulnerable still. Right?
People. Please, For the love of common sense, do not click the fricken links for a little while, unless you know the website is safe. See these links will be coming from people you know, who have had their account hacked. You will not know it was hacked because it looks like a funny or a clever post, or it may look totally out of character, of course in that case you would be certain to see what the heck the post is all about. STOP.

If you did click the links, you need to run a virus and malware scan. and please contact the person who owns the profile that just got stolen and tell them what to do.

You people act like this AOL’s version of Myspace. and well. It shows that you do not internet very well.
and now your Facebook account is stolen.
Go change your password while you still can, and send out apologies like crazy. it’s like dating, if you get cooties you must tell everyone that could have been infected. Or they wont have a fighting chance. because if it’s a virus, their bank accounts can get wiped out, if the spent any money on Facebook games and this thing has their password, it’s over for them.
Facebook is not fort Knox.

How Can I Use A Hosts File To My Advantage?

[tags]ip adress,malware,virus,trojan,security,computer,hack,intrusion,backdoor,safety,privacy,protection,prevention[/tags]

A hosts file is a file located in the ETC folder of almost every operating system (with some exceptions). The hosts file is a file that is scanned at the first accesses of a network. Be it a program that you expect to go to the internet or not. Your computer will first try and resolve the dns with the host. It does this by checking the hosts file.

In your hosts file, you can tell your computer what IP address to assign web addresses. By doing this, you bypass all network look ups on the internet for specific addresses. It is impossible to knock out every single website there is. You can how ever knock out all sites submitted, reported, and confirmed as malware sites.

You can also stop your kid from hitting sites you do not want her/him going to. The way it works is you move to the lowest section in the hosts file and type in the IP address you would like that website to go to. Like this:

127.0.0.1 a_site_you_do_not_want_to_go_to.com

This blocks that site from ever loading on your computer.

If you have a program that goes to “a_site_you_do_not_want_to_go_to.com” by default, the program will not be able to update. This can be used to your advantage if the site that the program is trying to connect to is a virus site, and the program is a virus, trojan or a malware notification type program (like a spider). We call them adware and spyware these days, the program will not be able to contact it’s owner, this hides you from the owner and increases your security. Some malware updates itself by connecting to its owner’s location, unless it is specificly assigned an IP address to connect to. That, of course, would be a mistake on the writer’s part. Much easier to locate that way, and you could actually block that IP address if you took the time.

I use mvps host because he has a much larger list than I do. I just add my stuff to his when i download it and set up my hosts file. If you have a list of bad sites, do what I and a few others do, email it to mvps site. I do suggest that you read everything on the wiki and mvps site before you do anything to change your hosts. Really, if you block yourself from the interenet (god only knows how that could ever happen) you just clear out all IP addresses and domain names in the list and you are back to the way it was.

Have You Seen jPod?

Have you seen jPod yet?

It’s yet, another very good Canadian comedy from our beloved favorite director Mike Clattenburg, the guy known for the viral indy series Trailer Park Boys, based on the Douglas Coupland novel of the same name. No, it does not have Robb Wells or John Paul Tremblay. It is not in any way a remake of the Internet hit that we all know and love.

It is on the other hand something that stands a chance of being one. See, there was a glitch with the Y2k bug that threw a handful of game designers at E.A. into a basement area of their game development building. It’s okay, though. This crew of three guys, two girls and their obsessive leader boss are pretty much the biggest cut-ups in the company.

The new boss comes in and decides to overhaul the game that the jPod crew has been working on for some time and turning it into a few things it should never have been. The new boss has no frickin’ taste whatsoever. It’s a blood and guts game, but Steve, the new boss, wants turtles and role model women incorporated into the game. Not against women, just you can not make that big of a change that far into developement.

One guy is a hacker kid.

One guy has screwed up parents. His mother wants him to bury a body and hide the remnants of an illegal plant she has growing back home. I think his dad used to be “Mr. Seaver” from Growing Pains. His wife thinks he is gay and losing his mind.

One girl is an ex-fatty turned hotty with low self-esteem.

One is a hot Asian female with a strong attitude and a mean dad.

And then there is “Cowboy,” the resident Gigolo. He is cool.
