This version I had to find in Google and got the fourth link from the top on FileFactory

The performance of both of them seemed pretty much the same as kitkat 4.4.4 the interface was more fluid like or smoother it seems. Downloading apps was faster but installing apps was different, slower for some reason but that could be due to I wasn’t using a rom build for the exact model I have.

Phone is now bricked.

Samsung Galaxy Admire 2 VS Motorola Bionic Antutu Benchmark

Got my Samsung Galaxy Admire 2 just last night and took a few photos and a video. Posted the fresh out of the box very first boot up.
Decided to do a performance benchmark for my new Admire 2. To be fair, I had to put the Admire up against my Bionic. The Bionic is a couple years old, but a phone I have always considered to be pretty fast.
Now understand that the Galaxy Admire 2 is the budget Samsung Galaxy. It’s cost at launch through Cricket was just less than 1/4 of current Galaxy phones and less than 1/4 the price of the phone I putting against the Galaxy Admire 2.

First to be tested  was the Samsung Galaxy Admire 2 from Cricket that I got for $49

Next Tested was the Droid Bionic. That cost much more … Much Much more

Now for the two phones side by side.
Admire2-vs-Bionic

Watching Antutu run, it was clear right away that the Admire 2 was about to stomp a smooshy spot into the Bionic. It did. FPS rates were different all across the board.

Opera Mini 5

Installed on blackberry 8100 rim and on G1 android.
I was using opera mini on my lg flip phone and Motorola rizr and blackberry for years before I got my android. Seems my rizr didn’t quite measure up so I had to install version 4.
I’m not too keen on opera on my computer. Feels kinda netscape navigator-ish.

The blackberry install was fast. Use was very smooth. Impressive appearance. Small pop ups look druple like. Could not find settings to change browser color. Navigation and page change smoother and softer than previous versions. Bookmarking has been made easier refreshing and closing ap happens fast with no lock ups.
Blackberry install I give a 10/10

Install for android, was 5 beta.
I’m beyond impressed. This is one sharp looking application. I have yet to see another app look this great. Downside is the menu bar at the bottom uses some of the screen realestate. I’m scared to turn it off, it might not come back. Menu button does nothing. Maybe if I close the bottom navigation bar it will show up in menu area. ( if anyone tested this, let me know results). Navigation bar has a forward and back button with refresh button. You no longer have to hit back button a million times to exit 10 minutes of surfing. This feature needs to be in all programs.
After you install this, do not change your home page. Look at the home page that is provided. You can have basically a bookmarks with thumbnails as your home page. Touch screen is now functional, in my honest opinion better than the default android browser. very fluid with your finger movements.
Again I could not change color or theme.
I give opera mini beta 5 for android a 10/10

Opera 4 for motorolla rizr 9/10

Iphone to Verizon Uh Oh

Rumor is (On ZDNET) that Iphone is moving to or expanding to Verizon. Verizon is known to have the best cellular coverage across America. Iphone is of course known as being the  most wanted cell phone around the world. With the release of Android, Iphone has to have seen a huge hit to their budget. or not. apple is quite tight lipped.

This whole news burst could be all mislead hype. Apple has a huge “no leak” policy. Just earlier in March there was a rumor of Sprint getting the Iphone . So this could all be a rumor or it could be a fact. Both sprint and Verizon are on CDMA networks. So there could be an all out Motorola (everyone has or has had one) move coming.

So far there is no tale of  Iphone heading to Tmobile. Of course we know that TMobile is the leader in Android phones (well it seems like it). A move to Iphone through TMobile may lead to a huge batch of phones being traded in. This would be the death nail for Android. Tmobile is of course not a cdma network phone, it is GSM. So it’s the same build as AT&T. It would be an easy move. I doubt though that Tmobile would take them in.

As of now, everything is speculation. But you can imagine what every mac rumor does to their stocks. So from here out, we watch and wait. If it does not come to your network, chances are you can buy one on eBay that is unlocked…. and ready. for $100 extra.

Motorola and Android – Backflip

It was needed.

Motorola BACKFLIP With MOTOBLUR for AT&T

Motorola Really needed this.

This phone looks like a really good phone. Slim with a large screen area.

The full keyboard of this phone puts it above any existing blackberry. That is for texting reasons of course. It’s the all of the add on software you can get, they call them apps. These far exceed the number of hackberry apps. This clearly proves that blackberry should try and dabble with the android system before it is to late.

Motorala builds some very well built phones, mechanically that is. So this software and their eye for design and dependability is a great merger.

The fact they leave the full keyboard in pushable smashable buttons instead of going for just touch (like most of the android phones recently), is probably the largest greatest and most appreciated part of this phone. This phone is the G1  that should have been.I predict this phone being more common than the Moto Razor ever was. To bad it’s currently only on AT&T. If they changed services to anything GSM other than AT&T i would jump to this phone.
