Do a simple benchmark  at pcpitctop.com  creat a free account and do the full test, just so you have a refference to go by when you upgrade your parts so you can  see what a huge change you will get, this test will not stress or break your stuff, it is the weakest one there is and I use it atleast twice a month.

Go to motherboard manufacture's site see what it's limitations are (ram capacity cpu max)

= move to the highest ranking.. meaning if you are using 3 gigs of pc2100 and your board supports upto3 gigs of pc3200, you will actually see a major change if you sold your 3 gigs of 2100 and just whent with 1.5 gig of 3200, heck even your cpu will perform better..go to Mem ten Unbelievable site.. so is pcpitstop.com

Cpu upgrade = Don't buy a used one.. if maxing your limitations on that motherbaord is less than 500megs from where you are now, shop around for a motherbaord and cpu package deal, it will probably be cheaper anyway... unless the 500 meg upgrade is free, then heck, go for it!

Video card upgrade = i suggest at the least, get the mid model of the next class up .. meaning if you are using a gforce 5200... dont rush out and buy a 6200.. you will be upset and dissapointed.. atleast get a  6600.. at the least
