    I now have to consider whether I want to risk a lashing for speaking my mind on the subject or if I want to get this resolved so I can offer up an honest apology, or at the least take this post down.

  3. I have resolved the issue. It was a hardware error.
    poorly designed router over heated.

    I drilled out the top of the housing to reduce heat.
    28mbs again, happy comcast customer.
