50megs.com billing me for old account

I dropped 50 megs from my website host, probably 4 years ago.

I didn’t like the small storage I was paying for and limited function and limited … well everything.
Today I looked in my spam filter and see that 50megs has been trying to contact me to get billing issue resolved.

Here’s the email I found from them:

Dear TruXter,

The credit card we have on file for your service subscription was declined when we attempted to bill you $47.85 on November 07, 2012. To avoid any interruption of service, please update your credit card information as soon as possible. Just go to your Member Area and click on the Update My Billing Info link to access your billing information.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our Billing Department for assistance

Why would they try and bill me for something I don’t use them for anymore?
did their servers crash and they back up a broken file?

Well I use Powweb now because it’s cheaper and unlimited with way more function.

 

none of my site is through 50megs. Not my domain name not my storage, nothing is on their servers .

When most webhosts charge you $140 (or close to give or take) a year, you must know that you are saving quite a penny by at least giving this place a try. They are fast. The email is imap or pop, your choice.

Though the new deal sounds great, I am not sure if my code will allow half off of the new deal. So you could land at paying slightly more than what I can get you.

I have been with this company for , coming up on 5 years now.  I am very pleased with their service and the quality of their operations. Customer service is easy to speak with and very quick at getting problems solved.

You will get unlimited bandwidth, unlimited storage, unlimited emails,unlimited ftp users. Anything I can think of, is unlimited.
