Grand Theft Auto The Movie

The first movie of grand theft auto was done  with Ron Howard as the star actor. It was done in 1977 writen and acted  and directed by Ron Howard. Here is the Imdb link to the movie.

With that said let’s get to what you are looking for. Someone at a website titled ” Cinematical” Wrote a story that leads to a hopefull movie starring Eminem, the singer (?) Rapper (?) > I myself am not sure how that would work out. He isn’t much of an actor. I guesse he could play the role of the guy from GTAIII. No talking no speech. I could better see Christian slater playing the role of Tommy Vercetti. I could see YOUNG MAYLAY (the guy that did the CJ voice in San Andreas) Playing carl Johnson in The part three of The movie GTA . Yes I would assume it would have to be called  GTA Because of copy rights and stuff with Ron Howard’s movie. I totally respect that. Heck I could see Ron Howard Playing Donald Love. Lazlow would surely have to play Lazlow.

See I ran across those links trying to find a place on the internet with best story behind the whole GTA games to tie it all together. I would love to print it out and set it on the back of my father’s toilet. He would have no choice but to read it, and then he could join in the conversations between my son and I around him.

Of course I came up with no find so I started searching to see if anyone has taken the time to put all the cutscenes together and some how put the whole story together, even if it means a brief description of the ingame between. again no find. So here I am giving you guys a couple links I found with the same hope I have to see a movie or a book come up.

Additional Entertainment Videos

From CharmingCharlie at GTAFORUMS.COM

I got some more stuff, in his words

Gamespot did a “video history” of GTA shortly after GTA SA came out so it is “almost” complete and is just missing GTA 4, you can find that here :-

http://uk.gamespot.com/ps2/action/gta4/video/6112034/history-of-grand-theft-auto

Then there is the IGN article that did a pretty comprehensive write up of the history of GTA and the some of the back story to people like David Jones, Sam and Dan Houser, here is the link :-

http://uk.retro.ign.com/articles/863/863037p1.html

Returning to videos, this is a f*cking cool video history here :-

I love the music in it and I also love the starting credit “In October of 1997, Grand Theft Auto was born, first on the PC ….” I love that bit.

Mac and Windows Dual Desktop

From Life Hacker:

First off, i have to say, the screen shots are remarkable.

Reader Dylan Boom shows how to mix operating systems environments with style in his Mac Meets Windows Dual-Desktop. Dylan is running OS X with XP in a virtual machine, and each system is completely customized to form a beautiful transition between Mac and Windows. Frankly, neither system puts the other to shame. Here’s a rundown of all the hardware, apps, and tweaks Dylan made to both operating systems to pull off this pleasant coexistence:

Sorry for the lack of creativity, i am currently at work right now and don’t have a bunch of time. But I do like the article. I don’t like mac, but i love seeing mac people want to use another operating system. Kinda proves how useless a mac is.

Scam sites close after owner name posted

Info from ARS TECHNICA

Brothers Caught scamming people into buying stuff that was easily free and available on the internet. Some of the stuff they were caught selling was movies that you could get at any illegal download site, same quality, but not free. This leaves the purchaser comfortable in the assurance they are not breaking the law.

The brothers have been running site scams for a while according to fileclub.info .

From What is said at ARS Technica the websites they ran where taken down shortly after having thier information posted on the internet.

Here are people claiming to have been scammed by websites that are allegedly owned by the brothers.

GTa China Town Wars Screenshots

Well the images look really good.

Very Nintendoish and very gta-gtaii looking but better.

Looks like rockstar games is really going back to their roots and fixing up the mess ups. Maybe we will see some use of GTAiii or Liberty City Stories or Grand Theft Auto Vice City Stories  Make a port to the wii.

Oh yeah here are the screen shots

And More Screen Shots

All the things that can come from this, if nintendo flips out.

GTA Chinatown Wars

Looks like rockstar and Nintendo are going to butt heads, pretty hard.

New screen shot of CTW shows 6 Different drugs to sell around town. Nintendo might not be super uber happy about this.

from here

Past editions have seen drug-running missions, but this is the most explicit reference yet. And considering it’s on Nintendo’s mostly kiddy-friendly DS handheld, it’s sure to cause a bit of a storm in the tabloids.

Not going to rseult good.

The updates seem heavier now.

Here is a German site translation

How land line could win against Cell.

Pretty damn simple.

The one thing most people hate is leaving a message on a recording, or just a simple busy signal, or no answere. What is something that cell phones have that land lines do not have?

Fricken Text messages.

Most phones these days come with caller I.d. on them these days, so the displays are not the issues.

I’m pretty sure that if the text addition was free, it would get used on a really regular basis. Downside is that advertisers would hammer out millions of messages at one time. So there would have to be a fee for the text message add on so it would be illegal to use someone’s privately funded text messages up.

I can only imagen the tiny pc’s people would try and push to sell to accomidate the texting and people with large fingers, and extended message storage for the times when you are away for a while.

It would also have to allow the line to be able to text and call at the same time. This way so the kids don’t hold up the line, and so you can get messages while talking.

Comcast – Acceptable Use Policy

Well I got some crap from Communism-Cast today.

Looks like they re-worded their plans that where “discontinued”

and are still going full force into Selling you 29 mbs but only letting you use

4mbs… and only for the websites they approve.  I am guessing within five years

this place will go AOL and consume it’s self When everyone jumps ship for DSL

and the freedom to go to more websites than just Communism-cast approved sites.

Read this crap:

Dear Comcast High-Speed Internet Customer,

We appreciate your business and strive to provide you with the best online experience possible. One of the ways we do this is through our Acceptable Use Policy (AUP). The AUP outlines acceptable use of our service as well as steps we take to protect our customers from things that can negatively impact their experience online. This policy has been in place for many years and we update it periodically to keep it current with our customers’ use of our service.

On October 1, 2008, we will post an updated AUP that will go into effect at that time.

In the updated AUP, we clarify that monthly data (or bandwidth) usage of more than 250 Gigabytes (GB) is the specific threshold that defines excessive use of our service. We have an excessive use policy because a fraction of one percent of our customers use such a disproportionate amount of bandwidth every month that they may degrade the online experience of other customers.

250 GB/month is an extremely large amount of bandwidth and it’s very likely that your monthly data usage doesn’t even come close to that amount. In fact, the threshold is approximately 100 times greater than the typical or median residential customer usage, which is 2 to 3 GB/month. To put it in perspective, to reach 250 GB of data usage in one month a customer would have to do any one of the following:

* Send more than 50 million plain text emails (at 5 KB/email);
* Download 62,500 songs (at 4 MB/song); or
* Download 125 standard definition movies (at 2 GB/movie).

And online gamers should know that even the heaviest multi- or single-player gaming activity would not typically come close to this threshold over the course of a month.

In addition to modifying the excessive use policy, the updated AUP contains other clarifications of terms concerning reporting violations, newsgroups, and network management. To read some helpful FAQs, please visit http://help.comcast.net/content/faq/Frequently-Asked-Questions-about-Excessive-Use.

Thank you again for choosing Comcast as your high-speed Internet provider.
