We apologize for this and have temporary removed the sale offering of the title until we have time to work with the developer and have confidence in a new build. Kinect Idea first person shooter Virtual reality

Okay.. Picture this .

You are in a six square acre room with sensors all over the place, you put on your laser-tag chest-plate, both of your virtual reality gloves with your PSvita strapped on your back between your shoulder blades, you put your helmet on with Kinect modified to snap to both sides. You grab your old nintendo duck hunt gun, and strap on a new version of your old Virtual reality glasses. and your best surround sound head phones. and fanny pack full of batteries that recharge based on leg movement. your wireless Wii-remote (for a dagger or a whip) at your hip.

A timer goes off and an entire setting rolls across your glasses. a Virtual reality battlefield. you move left, the setting in your glasses moves precisely with you. You jump up, your video appears you are jumping.

Every time you reload your gun, you are actually just changing batteries.

100s of scenarios previously installed. Multi-player mode or single player training mode. Maybe some terrain alterations such as hills and things.

And to top it off, online version also, so the champs of one Virtual First person Shooter capture the flag or king of the kill or bomb defusal can go against the champs of another location. Possibly in china,Arizona,Germany or anywhere.

This is a sport I would love to watch. This is a sport I would participate in.
It could even get perfected with help of the military for military training.
Cowboys and Indians mode???

this takes paintball, laser-tag, call of duty and every other first person shooter adventure every boy has played since he was a child and brings it to a new level.
And this is the downside

Name these games

Just cleaned out my closet, and pulled out a box of games, and just wondering if people can identify any of these games or all of these games.
Let’s see how many of these video games you can identify and if you have ever played any of these games.

How many games in these pictures can you name?

Yes I know it’s the same games twice. One picture is blurry at bottom and the other is blurry at the top.
Makes identifying the video games nearly impossible. So I made it easier to identify each video game.
Does anyone remember playing these games?
Are any of these games hard to name ?

If you can say anything you remember from any of these games below, please do so.

Halo Reach Out Now

Halo Reach looks beautiful.
Game play is epic Halo.
Few videos out already and a few people have actually stopped playing long enough to post. Will get back to you when I am done getting my adrenaline fix.
Halo Reach is just the way that Halo is supposed to be.
Sorry short post, but how long can you stop playing the game to write this ?
I mean there was no tragic dramatic change as it was hyped but it is still halo so it is a great game. This is the FPS game.
Sad thing is you know it will get FPS game of the year and we are in the 4th quarter of the year when it is released. There have been some great video games released already, so it kinda will be unfair. So far no bugs :-) keep gaming .

This could get the vote for best free first person shooter of the year, on TruXter Tech Review.
This is in every since a video game made completely for pc gaming. all games should be released as a pc game and then ported to console. Simply because the console port would be easier than the port to pc game. So when a game comes out for pc game first, we are certainly sure it will be a good game. This first person shooter will be the number one Pc game FPS of the year. (by all expectations). I am certain you can not buy a pc game this good.
Best ofs always come in January of the following year. We make sure every game released in a year time gets a chance.

Starcraft II Less Than 1 Week Away

I don’t know about you, but I wanted this game to come ten years ago.

Don't that look good?

Well Starcraft II is on it’s way. July 27th Is the release date.

I have been offered the beta but I want the full Starcraft II. I have not settled for the beta ahead of time. I want the full final effect

I want that feeling I had when I watched the Cutscenes with version one. and to get the storyline along with it as I earn my way there. The cutscenes are what Starcraft is about. Well actually it’s the head to head online” My millitary strategy is greater than yous” battle that you can not get from World of Warcraft, you can not get from Battlefield Or Grand Theft Auto. Starcraft is a game Mimicked for ten years.

Reminiscent to the Goliath is a Thor

I am calling it ahead of time, Starcraft II will get awards for three years straight. Starcraft II will be top seller of PC games for minimum of 3 month. I Call it now that Starcraft II will be the highest counted pc game sold within one week. I predict that in the first month of Starcraft II Higher sells numbers than World of Warcraft’s first year.

Sales Numbers to Beat

EA’s The Sims 3 had sold 800,000 copies in its first month
World of Warcraft® sold through to over 240,000 November 23, selling more in its first 24 hours than any other PC game in history.

Over PC All Sales to date

1. The Sims (16 million shipped)
2. The Sims 2 (13 million)
* The Sims 2: Pets [expansion pack] (5.6 million)
* The Sims 2: Seasons [expansion pack] (1 million)
3. World of Warcraft (11.5 million subscribers)
* World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade [expansion] (3.5 million)
* World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King [expansion  ] (4 million)
4. StarCraft (11 million)
5. Half-Life (9.3 million, may include PS2 version)
* Half-Life: Opposing Force [expansion pack] (1.1 million)
6. Half-Life 2 (6.5 million, does not include Steam sales)
7. Guild Wars (6 million in North America, Europe, and Asia; includes Factions, Nightfall, and Eye of the North)
8. Myst (6 million)
9. Doom (5 million)
10. Counter-Strike (4.2 million)

My estimate 12Million sold by 2012
My estimate 300,000 1st day sales.1m after a complete month.

I know I have played and enjoyed this game. My son who was just a child during Starcraft release date is in the exact age group the majority of the original players were, this makes him prime for Starcraft II on release date. Blizzard is doing what they should have done 7-9 years ago. Or are they?

The twenty somethings and the thirty somethings reigned over the Starcraft online play back in the original days. The kids who got slapped around back in those days are now twenty somethings. And the twenty somethings back then are now in their thirties yadda yadda. The slapped around kids will now be the experienced group with the fast thinking and cool replacements to ” I owned you dawg”. They will be the superior group. They will be the primed group. They will be the 20 somethings. They will start out as recycled Newbies in the newbies room (if it has chat). They will be the sleepers. They will reuse and implement old school strategies they created when they where fighting to survive the online game. They will reign boisterously. They will control all game plans and all game skills created for a long first 5 months. many will lose interest, many will still play on. They will be the trend setters and the skills trainers. but will that matter ?
The thirty somethings and forty somethings who once where the trend setters and skills creators will be playing the single player and savoring the full game and all of the cinematics. The visuals, The audio, The story. When done They will walk down from their old dusty gaming thrown to join the arena. They will lose a few miserable first games. Because well, single player Stacraft can spoil you, and online Starcraft can be cruel and get rude fast. Of course there will be a passing thought to type out ” Boy watch your mouth and respect your elders” but yeah, that would just be retarded. There will be a desire to say ” boy back in my day I used to battle 1v7, me against 7 newbs like you”. The elder will know better. The elder will know that this kid thinks the elder is newb, simply because of his playing skills are crap and his stats show he has very few wins under his belt (if any at all yet). but it’s all about getting their old skills into a grove and finding a way to use their old tricks. It’s about finding the best mixture of units and machine to dominate. To show this boy how to “MASS”.

He hears ” our base is under attack” and he sees 120 probes running to the middle of his minerals attacking the drones so he laughs and sends in the attack. The old tidal wave of Zerglings followed by a blob of Hydras with Guardians floating above only to run into 20 Zealots retreating to run to the middle of 180 dragoons.

Finally, a PC game that is guaranteed to work. Because it is made for pc, not ported from some console garbage and then upscaled (causing it to bog down).

I will be online Tearing the game up. Thanksgiving day through Christmas.
Find me. I have to team mates. We all will train together.

Blizzard Keeps PC Gaming Alive

Everyone Keeps asking the same question ” Is Pc Gaming Dying?”. The answer is hard to explain but i will try and give it to you like it is.
Most games are being created for consoles. consoles have a fixed set video card. Consoles have a fixed set processor. They all have fixed set motherboards. So all compatibility issues are resolved at one time. They never upgrade. They just get replaced. This makes game creator’s job simple. This also Ruins any evolution in gaming and ruins the future of “bigger better faster”. Why? because they all have limitations and if they exceed the limitations then the console makers have to expand and evolve. Then the game makers have to start all over in their game codes and engines that they have been kicking around easily. They don’t want to ruin their “easy money”.
Games get created for the consoles first because that’s where the majority of sales are. Many of these games get “ported” (converted to compatibility) to the Pc. These ports have become sloppy and careless. These ports are becoming further and further from the original release date. If ever at all.

So Far 2 of the top Selling PC games are Blizzard Games. Both of these games have epic sales totals in comparison to the rest. One of these games had the highest sales total for many years. This game was Starcraft. Now with the release of Starcraft II finally about to be released, I can imagine the pc video game sells will be greater than ever. The cinematics should be greater than your highest resolution video and teh game play will be more fun than any game on your wii. You will be required to just have one of the most average computers to play this game. This should provoke more old game makers to come out of the woodworks, motivated to make a fun game. Of course there will be game makers making more extreme graphics, more cpu intensive engines and more Memory utilizing AI. And there will be some that use them all. If  things go right, Then pc game will wander off in it’s own direction from console gaming. The way it used to be. The way it should be. The way it should have been all along.

Manifesto

If game makers kept in mind they are dealing with a different breed of gamers when it comes to pc games, they would understand, we like quests. We like interaction. We like a never ending challenge. We don’t like to beat the game, We like to have a reason to play it again. And when that finally gets old, we go and get the Expansion. We wait for the second version. The new engine, the new story to sit through before we jump online and mash together will a bunch of crazies. We are not the ones who hurry and finish a game so we can tell everyone it’s old news. We play it into the ground and we tell everyone we know how fun it is. We are a word of mouth crowd. We are the heavy metal music of Gaming. We are the underground difference of opinion. We like a challenge, so we play the game again to find someone who can beat us. We have no thumbs so keep your game controllers.

Is pc gaming dead? no. Is pc gaming dying? yes by the lack of resources. Can pc gaming be revived? Oh by many means , yes. They just have to entertain us. We need more Blizzard, We need more Starcraft more Warcraft more Diablo.

BFG GTS 250 Review

BFG 250 GTS

Purchased one month ago aVideo card, BFG 250 GTS 1gb from the local fry’s store for $123.49. Heck of a deal coming from two Nvidia 9500gt 512 mb Video cards. Played a few games of Grand Theft Auto IV  with it. Saw the best in game benchmarks over my past video cards. Fan was quieter than my old cooling system on my  twin 9500 gt cards. Temperature was much Higher. On first boot with that card Speedfan saw the temperature at 105 degrees Fahrenheit. While my 9500 gt cards saw temps of 90 on average, 105 after stress, boot temp was around 85. My son’s 240 card temp after stress reads 95*. That’s after about an hour of playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2.

I got frustrated with the temperatures being so bad. Sometimes in game I would see temperatures all of the way up to 160 degrees Fahrenheit. So I removed the heatsink to see what could be causing it.

Actual Board

After close inspection, I noticed a part had been hitting the heatsink.

Flaw in BFg 250 gts 1gb Design

Looking at the heatsink I see they had designed the heatsink to accommodate for this issue, but about 1/2 an inch away.

I tried sanding down the heatsink to get more clearance, I tried drilling holes the size of the part. That actually helped. So no longer was the heatsink pressing on it, it also wasn’t vibrating against it. Look at the wear.

One month later

The temperature had not lowered no matter what I tried (while still using factory parts). I boot up my computer and start to play Need for Speed Carbon. The screen filled up with speckles. I had to reboot the computer. After the reboot I let the computer idle for a moment and then I checked the temperature with Speedfan and statistics with cpu-z.

Read outs after crap out

Not a good read. 16x card reading at 4x. after 1 month.

but for the one month of testing, the card was amazing. It played every single game I threw at it. It’s speeds never hesitated, except when it got hot. once the card would get hot, I would see some pretty tragic lag. The nvidia 240 my son has plays modern warfare 2 with high resolution and never once budges or lags. The clock speeds of that card are a bit lower than the clock speeds of the 250. If you have a low budget a warning  because the one I got died after a month of occasional hard gaming light video editing and plenty of cad design and photoshop work.

I must inform you that I did not overclock my card. I did not overclock my motherboard. I did not overclock my memory or my processor. I save that for after I get new parts. I was happy with this card so, I never bought a new card. now I have to. Tigerdirect.com, here I come.
