Should You Make Videos of Your Products?

You have your products and you have your storefront. Be it brick and mortar  or a website with a shopping cart, or both. You have been paying for advertisements and the ads have been paying off. You want to sell more of your products. You want to know if making a video of your products would be beneficial for your business.
Well it can be. and that would all depend on what you put into your video.
You can’t just hold a camera in front of an object and upload the video and expect the product to sell. You have to give the viewers what they came to see.

Examples:
You are selling a remote control car.
You can’t just aim your camera at the car while it sits on the counter or floor and does nothing.
Inform the potential customers about your product
Tell the viewers how easy to turn the car on and off can be. Show it’s take off speed, show it’s stopping speed. Show how the car can turn.  Show how long the batteries last.
The majority of the searches for video content about your product is them wanting to see it do things, and do them well.

Lighting
Use good lighting. at all times make sure your product is visible. No need in driving a toy car around in the dark. No one will see it.

Did I say be informative?
Be informative. people looking to see how long the battery lasts, want to know how long the battery lasts. If they do not find that information in your video they will scoot along for the next similar product.

Yes, making a video of your product can get you more sells.
Should You Make Videos of Your Products? Some products a video might not help. what products would that be? i haven’t a clue. I can see myself looking up a video to how good a brand of paper is. For the sake odds, there has to be some products that won’t do so well in video form, what they are I haven’t a clue.

People of Adsense have lost their mind

Got me a notice today that the ads will be stopped on one of my websites.

The above website is not currently in compliance with our AdSense program policies and as a result, ad serving has been disabled to that website. Please review and follow the instructions in our guidelines to get ad serving reinstated on your site.

Issue ID:  25186383

It’s important for a site displaying AdSense to offer significant value to the user by providing unique and relevant content, and not to place ads on auto-generated pages or pages with little to no original content. This may include, but is not limited to:

  • copying portions of text content from other sources
  • websites dedicated to embedded videos from other hosts
  • websites with gibberish content that makes no sense or seems auto-generated
  • templated or pre-generated websites that provide duplicate content to users.

For more information, please review the AdSense program policies, this help article about scraped content and Google’s Webmaster Quality Guidelines.

I did a search to see if Google employees somehow found someone saying something identical to the content on my website. Yeah…. Me… on Google plus when I plus oned my content, Google plus took a snippet from my website… TWO DAYS LATER.

Which you can find here

I mean.. come on… Google, get your act together, and please find the guy who okayd that and give him a paid couple days off in a rub and tug somewhere. Because that person clearly did not investigate that their own system is what is doing this.
It was a dumb ponder I had and it was my own content posted.. It took not even three minutes to create.

and yes that second link on the page, is this just crappily categorized with Google’s infinite malfunction.

Thanks Google.. thanks a bunch.

I preach constantly to stay in Google guidelines, AND YOU drop the ball and I still get the brunt of it.
Thanks a bunch Google. So.. my adsense account for one of my sites is suspended.

If it will get ads back on my site, should I delete the Google plus version? I mean if that’s the case then I should just delete my whole Google plus account.
It’s buggy anyway right?

Linkshare Pay out for 2013

So, you have stumbled into Linkshare aka Rakuten as an alternative advertisement affiliate to Google Adsense.
You see that Linkshare has a large selection of well known companies to advertise with. and it now makes your website look official, and it shows that you have high quality advertisers. Such as walmart, HP, Microsoft, Starbucks. Big name companies. Great feeling right?
Now you want to know what the income looks like. You want to know .. Does Linkshare pay ?
I have to say from my experience.
No.
I have rand their advertisements for two years. and not a single penny.
The issue is, you only make money when people click the link on your site and buy something from the site they clicked to. You basically send good traffic to these sites, for nothing.

Linkshare-payout2013
Linkshare-payout2012

Of course I dropped a few advertisers and took on a few new ones who left Google’s whatever service that was similar to linkshare and they all migrated to linkshare. and dropped a few advertisers that just would not work very well with my content.

Fact is, you will not make money with linkshare unless you go against the code of ethics and start making fake posts and hyping the content you link.

Google Retires Hosted Domains

Google is retiring the ads program for websites that have no content.
Letter from Google about retiring their domain squatter advertisements.

Hi,

We’re contacting you because you’re using AdSense for Domains to monetize your undeveloped domains. After evaluating the benefits of our partner network, we’ve decided to retire the Hosted domains product within AdSense. Going forward, undeveloped domains will only be served through our existing AdSense for Domains distribution network.
Our records show that 7 of your Hosted domains will be affected by this upcoming change, which will follow the schedule below:

March 21: You’ll no longer be able to create new Hosted domains
April 18: Hosted domains will become inactive and it’ll no longer be possible to earn from them
June 27: Hosted domains will no longer be available in AdSense accounts

To continue monetizing your undeveloped domains, you can migrate your domain portfolio to any domain parking provider. Find out how in our Migration Guide:
Migration Guide

Please note that this upcoming change won’t affect any other AdSense products you’re currently using or the availability of other products to you. In addition, reporting on your Hosted domains will remain available throughout the schedule above and for a period following the retirement.

For more information see the Help Center. We appreciate your understanding and thank you for your patience as we continue to develop new features and offerings within AdSense.

Sincerely,
The Google AdSense Team

Google to Drop Old Adsense Interface

The old adsense interface will be dropped soon. Yep that’s right, you will be shoved into the new one. Of course the new Adsense layout is quite informative and allows you to fine tune your Adsense ads, a little better. but the monitoring of page traffic is even less informative than the current, soon to be extinct page traffic.
You sure do get a whole lot more menus with the new Adsense user menu, but the question I have to ask is, why couldn’t they just ad the new to the old ? why drop what is existing and give us what is new and not have both? Just always seems fishy when we get shoved into acceptance like this. Somehow we just accept that things will never make sense and the lack of informative data replaced by bubbles and menus, is the rule of anything software.
Not saying I don’t like the new Adsense user interface, I don’t dislike it at all. Except for the traffic stats page just says “AdSense for Content” it does not show what ads, or where, while the old one already shows more information about site traffic, and well, that ones pretty slow too. but again, that traffic has to be verified and proven before it can count. And I completely get that. I think.

But . here’s the email I received today showing that the change is about to happen.

Hi,

Since releasing the new AdSense interface to all publishers, we’ve been continuously working to improve and support the new version. With that in mind, we’re writing to let you know that we’ll soon be retiring the old AdSense interface and asking all publishers to use the new interface.

If you haven’t already, we recommend switching to the new interface as soon as possible to familiarize yourself with the updated layout and new features. To do so, sign in and click the ‘Try the new AdSense interface’ link in the upper corner of your account. We understand that this adjustment may take some time, so you’ll still be able to toggle back and forth between the old and new interfaces during the coming weeks. You’ll see another notification in your account as we approach the date when this option will no longer be available.

As a reminder, the new AdSense interface offers additional insights in the form of detailed graphs and reports, new ad blocking controls, and increased efficiency through a visual redesign. We’ve now added many of your top-requested features — including the ability to create scheduled reports and view channels on the Home tab. We encourage you to watch our video tutorials at http://www.youtube.com/user/InsideAdSense#g/c/B067D355E59D96E0, which will guide you through completing common tasks in your account. You can also find detailed information in our Help Center for the new interface (http://www.google.com/adsense/support/as/).

With this transition, we’ll be able to focus on building new and improved features into the new interface more quickly. Thank you for your support, and we appreciate your patience and cooperation.

Sincerely,

The Google AdSense Team

Okay, can we go ahead and add the affiliate market to the Adsense account? why do they have to be two separate sites?
When you finally make the move to the new interface, go to the allow & Block ads, that is probably the greatest thing since advertisements on websites, ever began.
I do have to say they held onto the old interface for quite a long time, and that is more than fair of Google.
Maybe someof the features of the old interface just aren’t compatible with the new.

Google Adsense Goes Social

Google adsense will be rolling out new features. They will be adding a +1 for adsense for content Here is a letter from the adsense team.

Hello,

In the next month, we’ll introduce the +1 button and personal recommendations to display ads. The +1 button will begin to appear on AdSense for Content and AdSense for Mobile Content display ad formats — image, animated gif, and Flash. +1s will be one additional signal to help determine an ad’s relevance and we’ll continue to show the ads that will generate the most revenue for you.

We previously launched the +1 button on Google search and for publisher sites to make it easier for people to share and discover content across the web. Soon, your users will be able to endorse specific ads and make the ads more likely to appear to their social connections. We believe that these recommendations could help your readers notice ads on your site more, leading to higher returns for you over time.

If you prefer not to show the +1 buttons on display ads on your pages, you can opt out in your account. For more information please visit the Inside AdSense blog.

Sincerely,

The Google AdSense team

Will this be in the ads? will this be in the menu area? are they incorporating the affiliate network to the adsense? (I kind of hope so) . If not will they be adding the +1 button to the affiliate network so we the site owners have an easier selection of ads?
Will the adsense team knock penalties to content owners who +1 their own products?
Not much to tell from that one email but are great things to consider.
Great idea to a point then it falls short when you realize how people can be.
I hope it goes well.

Automated Advertisement Fail

I was searching online for some batteries for the back up power-supply we have on the server. These batteries are huge, like 3 inches buy 6 inches by 4 inches.

server back up batteries

psu bats

Much like those.
While in the search for the batteries I also looked up a battery tray, because well, our battery back up psu tray has a faulty wire, which explains the dead batteries. Right?
Well Here is the add I looked at. Note that the price is perfect for the power-supply. But look at the suggested add below.
sALES FAIL

ADVERTISEMENT FAIL

This kind of disappoints me a bit. Considering these guys advertise on my site, and I hand selected this company because I respect their products and prices.
Ehh such is life.. So what, superman wears his underwear on the outside. No one’s perfect

Bad Ads

Deceptive ads in Google

Deceptive ads in Google

Looks like Google allowed a bad advertisement on their system.
I can’t believe the ads got past Google like that.
I warn you that typically when you see that on a website, you just got bit. It does not mean that you actually have anything on your computer that is mal . it does kind of just pose as an ad. but it does not have a question mark, it has an exclamation mark and that is what I am calling inappropriate.
So I label that ad as deceptive.

Ultimate JinX Commercial

I can’t stop laughing at this. Because we have the statue of liberty freak by my job. How do they stay so energetic?

Jinx is a sponsor of my site, they have a link on the right. Go check out their funny clothing and shirts hats and backpacks gear of all sorts.
They just posted this video on Facebook so I linked it here. Enjoy the laugh, very funny funny funny commercial.

What is Google Sniper

First Clue to being on a fake review site, they won’t say Google Sniper without saying the name of the clown who concocted the garbage soon after. Second clue is the pop up when you leave.
What is Google Sniper? Is Google Sniper a Scam?
[poll id=”10″]
Google Sniper is what the owner of Google Sniper is trying to call the method of Google Bombing. Google Bombing is frowned upon, heavily upon by Google. So what Google Sniper is trying to teach you, will get you banned from Google.
All of the Websites you see talking good about Google Sniper, are selling you the Google Sniper product.Every website that talks positive about Google Sniper, Sells Google Sniper and has a pop up when you try and get out. If you do a search for Google Sniper Scam” all you find are the exact same pages as if you searched for Google sniper from it’s name. This guy actually buys websites so he can do fake reviews of his product and floods Google with fake search results. Google is not a brand new company. I mean you can’t even search for real opinions of Google sniper, good or bad, you just get the same results from the guy who created it. Most of the reviews are generated from a program. This program is what spammers use to make content. They write one review and hit the scramble button and it uses some weird thesaurus to create similar words and then reorganize the sentence. So you seeing 200 reviews, is actually 20 reviews scrambled and then repeatedly used.(maybe maybe not sure looks like it). I do see that he flooded Google results with “Google Sniper Scam’ Google Sniper Exposed Google Sniper review” to prevent people from seeing real posts about his stuff. How can you tell it’s him? That stupid pop up when you try and leave.. No one but adult websites and crooks use pop ups anymore. And no one uses that specific pop up except his team. Google knows very well how to handle this type of deception.
I would not recommend buying Google Sniper. George’s method will get you banned. He is constantly buying websites in the “pump and dump” method of using then to promote his “Teachings” so you buy his junk. The sites he is doing these reviews on, only cost him $7 and he doesn’t care what happens to them. You have your website that you have high hopes for. If your website gets done to it what his does, you will be devastated. Google Sniper will get you blacklisted from all search engines in less than two months of use.
Learn Real SEO. True Search Engine optimization is what Google wants you to do. It’s what works best with Google’s system.  If you will notice to the right, there are ads from Google. Those sites are what Google thinks is more relative to what you are looking for. Nowhere in that list do you see Google Sniper.Because Google Adsense would not accept such deceptive methods. So please do not get ripped off.
Nowhere do you see a legit website from the owner of Google sniper found in Google. You only find websites selling the product, but no actual product website is listed in Google.
If you type googlesniper.com it redirects you to another website that isn’t even listed in Google at all. Yet that site has the exact same stupid annoying popup that all the other sites have. This further proves that Google Sniper uses foul tactics frowned upon by Google and other. If you just type googlesniper.com in Google to see what’s results are, you see no link to the home page at all. You only see sub pages. Though deep linking is good. It does nothing good for you if you do not have your home page listed.
Search Engine optimization is all about making a clean website, with descriptive tagging , proper titles and no deceptive or no misleading measures. No annoying pop ups and no cheesy scams.

Stay away.

Use real Search Engine Optimization, Do not use the Google Sniper Garbage, there is no SEO involved in that at all.

I’m sorry if this seems punched out. I posted this with my G1 phone by taking notes. Came back to edit this and realized this scammer who makes Google sniper does not deserve so much attention form me. but if you get what I posted above, please respond below so the other readers can comprehend what the heck I was writing.
Here are two articles I created to to be an alternative to spending money on Google Sniper.
How to get Traffic to your website.
How to start an online store.

Google Sniper Review scores:
creativity – 3/10
function – 3/10
long run use – 1/10

end score 2/10

and spell-check keeps making me say “guttersnipe” instead of GoogleSniper. a bit fitting.
