Site status check

Website Status, value and worth.

Well I have been working with  the company website ( the company I work for) trying to see what it’s page rank was and how well my SEO skills are. Doing that usually consisted of me hitting about 10 websites every day and me making the adjustments to the company website I felt like I needed to make.

Well, just as you would, I got tired of all of the Google searches I had to do and bookmarks to crank through. so I found a site that some dang dude was selling a php script  that would supposedly  do all the work for me. Well the program barely did but it gave me some insight as to what labors I needed to perform on the PHP script to make it work like I needed to get the information i needed

I needed  page rank information, I needed to see how many index pages in search engines I had, I also needed to find how many websites linked to me. So I took this clump of crap I bought for like  four dollars and started asking around if I could use tools from the sites the guy originally incorporated. Sad thing is, I have not gotten the “value” part in a monetary pattern. Soooo, It will not tell you what your website is worth.. Heck I don’t really have much faith in any of those sites. If you know of one that works really well and is spot on, please tell me where it is. I will contact the site owner and see what i can get done, for him, for me , for the users.

Website Status, value and worth.

Oh there is a “whois” tool added so you can check if a domain you want is open, sorry I do not sell website domain names. I do how ever like Netfirms. They seem to have the best prices. I don’t care much for their storage though.

Starcraft II Beta Now Taking Aplications

My profile has been created and my system specs have been updated.
I am now trying to figure out what the trick is to get the beta. I sent everything.
It never said “we’ll get back to you”
nor did it say ” yeah if you suck, we won’t even acknowledge you”
but it is letting me download an older Starcraft..
Think that means something?
lol maybe I am waiting an email .

but just head to blizzard’s site and get in on it.

here is what they send for info

Beta opt-in FAQ

What is the Battle.net beta opt-in?

The Battle.net beta opt-in adds a Battle.net account to a pool of potential beta testers for upcoming Blizzard Entertainment games. To be considered for upcoming betas, you must create a beta profile (see below) and indicate the preferences for which betas you wish to participate in. Once you have successfully uploaded a beta profile, the associated Battle.net account is added to a pool of potential beta testers for upcoming Blizzard Entertainment games. You can begin the opt-in process by clicking “Beta Profile Settings” in Battle.net Account Management.

What is a beta profile?

A beta profile is a snapshot of your current system specifications. It includes such information as how much RAM you have, available hard drive space, your graphics card and driver, and other information about your system. We gather this information to ensure that we are able to test our games on a wide range and distribution of systems.

How do I get selected to become a beta tester?

Participants for each beta test will be selected from the pool of eligible testers who have opted in based on their system specifications, beta-test preferences, and other factors, including pure luck. Opting in does not guarantee you will be selected to participate in a beta test.

How will I be notified if I am selected for a beta test?

In the event you are selected to participate in a beta test, you will receive an e-mail informing you and directing you to Battle.net Account Management, where you will be able to download the beta client and obtain a beta key.

Why do I have to download an application to create a beta profile?

Our beta opt-in application allows us to gather information about potential beta testers’ systems quickly and accurately, helping us ensure that the resulting pool of beta testers we select most closely represents the range and distribution of systems we wish to test.

How does the beta opt-in application work?

Running the beta opt-in application quickly and automatically generates a profile based on your system specifications. It then displays this information and asks if you wish to submit the specifications to create a beta profile for the Battle.net account you used to download the application.

What if I am having problems getting the Opt-In application to run on my computer?

If you find you are having issues with or downloading the application please check with our troubleshooting guide here.

Does the application also profile the software I have installed on my system?

No, the opt-in application simply scans the major hardware components of your system, along with your graphics card driver. Other system information, such as the contents of your hard drive, is not scanned.

I created a new Battle.net account, but I’m unable to opt in. Why?

In order for a Battle.net account to be able to opt in to upcoming beta tests, you must have at least one Blizzard Entertainment game attached to the account. Please note that the World of Warcraft trial edition does not count toward this requirement.

When I first signed up for a Battle.net account, I checked a box to indicate I wanted to participate in Blizzard betas, but I didn’t upload a system profile. Do I need to complete this new process?

Yes. In order to be considered for the any upcoming Blizzard Entertainment betas, you’ll need to upload your beta profile through the application found in Battle.net Account Management.

Will entering multiple times improve my chances of being selected?

Each Battle.net account can only opt in once, so you are unable to opt in multiple times to improve your chances.

Liberty Names Of America, Mail Scam?

I received this mail from liberty Names of America , also known as lnoa
The mail goes like this:

As a courtesy we would like to remind you that it is time to renew your domain name which is expiring soon. Failure to renew your domain will result in losing exclusive rights to it on the web and losing access to your online presence. By moving your domain to Liberty Names Of America, you can take advantage of the savings we have to offer. Your renewal will start from the day your domain name expires, even th you are signing up months earlier.

It goes on to shoot prices at me for my domain name. Saying that truxtertech.com will go for one year at $29 , two years at $49 and five years at $94.
I can not help but laugh in disgust. I pay 6.99 a year through netfirms for one of my other domain names. I could switch my domain myself for $150 for 10 years at bravenet.com
The people I am registered through for this current domain name is powweb.com I pay $94 a year for unlimited storage space and bandwidth, unlimited email accounts, 75 mysql databases and the domain name is free. My bill is automatically charged to my account before expiration. They can’t help lower my costs any. Why would I want to even consider Liberty Names ? They make it clear that they are not forcing me to re-up on my domain name. But the mail does look like it would be scary to someone who is new to this planet. Not that this an advertisement but hey, if you register through powweb, Let them know you read about their deal from me, I get a kick back from that stuff and it would help out a whole lot.

Well just a heads up to anyone who is doing a search in google for that dang company. They are not the registrants of your domain …. yet, So you might want to head back to where you first bought that domain and pay up. some companies might squat on it and turn it into a spam site. I lost truxter.org that way years ago. Bought it late last year and it has been a hard battle to get it back into search engines.
Is Liberty Names Of America a Scam ? I dunno, but their prices are far out of my reach.
Here’s what other’s think
Search That’s to see rip off Claims
This is to see people calling them a scam.
Others saying they are overpriced

Affiliate program gets lawsuite

I was signed with an affiliate program for years, and never made more than $7. Two weeks ago I got a notice in my email saying they sold the company. They went on saying that all current bills will be paid by the end of what ever month, not sure I just started to ignore the junk I would get from them.

now this is what I suspected all along.

RE: Important Legal Notice Regarding Commission Junction’s Affiliate Network

If you joined or were a member of the affiliate marketing networks operated by ValueClick, Inc., Commission Junction, Inc. and/or Be Free (collectively, “Defendants”), between April 20, 2003 and the present, you may be a class member in Settlement Recovery Center et al. v. ValueClick, Inc. et al., No. 2:07-cv-02638-FMC-CTx, a lawsuit which is pending in the Central District of California. The Settlement Notice informs you of the Court’s certification of a class for settlement purposes; the nature of the claims alleged; your right to participate in, or exclude yourself from, the class; a proposed settlement; and how you can claim an award of advertising credits under the settlement or object to the settlement.

The proposed settlement will resolve claims that Defendants failed to adequately monitor Commission Junction’s Network for the use by third parties of software that does not comply with Commission Junction’s (“CJ”) Publisher Code of Conduct and that is intended to steal or divert commissions from publishers on CJ’s network (“Non-compliant Software”), failed to adequately monitor or prevent third parties from engaging in the theft or “hijacking” of commissions from Advertisers and Publishers on CJ’s Network, and failed to make sufficient disclosures regarding the existence of Non-compliant Software and commission theft, resulting in losses to both advertisers and publishers on the CJ Network.

The proposed settlement will provide a monetary recovery to eligible class members. For class members that currently maintain an account on the CJ Network will receive payment through payments or credits deposited or applied to their CJ accounts; eligible class members that no longer have accounts on the Commission Junction Network will receive a check for an equal amount.

If you are a member of the class, your legal rights are affected by whether you act or do not act. You should review the Settlement Notice as soon as possible as there are several important deadlines that you must meet to take certain actions in connection with this proposed settlement. In particular, the deadline for filing an objection or excluding yourself from the proposed settlement is September 30, 2008. For further information, please refer to the Settlement Notice.

They used to tell me that I just had a crappy second rate website.

How to own people in a forum

if you have ever wanted to know how to fight better in a forum, how to better than rick roll people in a forum. If you wanted to be a bigger man and let the whole world know that you are a greater person than they are. then you need to just poke them with a link that puts them in their place. http://truxter.org/mph/

That video will set them straight. If they are the a.d.d. type who open it and close it and tell you it sucks, there’s a little treat in there for them too.. look at the page title :-) .. that would be located at the top and in your taskbar.

Thanks to Cali lewis for the great find, she is such a sweetheart. The internet was what it was meant to be. it was meant to a be a freedom, it wa snot meant be some dill hole threating people to forcably pull their finger only to make a honk noise and laugh with everyone wondering “WTF” .

I mean it used to be violent, but now it’s just weird stupid and the meanness is lame. The elders have seen the worse, and the crack pots on it now, well , they are just looking for a way to laugh. But what they laugh at is pointless. :p)

Domain name Hell

After getting a bill for an automatic update to my domain and storage.  Well I freaked out and started to cancel. then I remembered that my affiliate settings are signed up  through that domain name. I decided that it would be best if just transfer my domain name over to my pow web account.. well when I called the 1800 number to get the refund, “Rodney” (clearly not his name) Some guy I am assuming is somewhere in the middle east answered the phone. Hey I am cool with anyone at all times. but for god sakes what are saying?. I was so excited I got my refund and all I just hung up the phone.. Well “Rodney” closed my account intirely. I still have 4 months left on the storage and a year and a half left on the domain name. Well I call again, this time “joey” answered the phone.. Um this dude sounded just like Rodney..

Well I get go through a huge hokey pokey and finally I get my website signed up to my new host.

I am the poppa of

truxtertech.com

iworkwithtech.com

iworkwithpeople.com

For now they all point to the same spot. I am recreating  iworkwithtech and iworkwithpeople . I have miniature plans. Lets see what I can come up with.

I suggest you do your research.  It is a battle to leave 50megs.com. who by the way is owned by mysite.com who is owned by freewebs.com.

who is owned by  BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH. It goes on for ever.  Fact is, 50 megs gives you 1 gig of storage

Most new domain places out there like blue host, powweb and on and on give you 15 TB or more.

New Tech Forum

It’s new , it needs you.

I just built a tech support and rumors forum with a video game and console section.
I hope you people like it.
I will be adding moderators as I see the users with morals sticking around.
I will be banning all clowns as fast as I can and as often as I can. who knows maybe I will redirect them to forums I hate -)

The goal is to get information and news about tech to the world. and what the hell, to hang out and talk to others like myself.
I don’t see any out there with the same stuff as what I have envisioned so I am making it myself. yes there will be a fight room. Because hey, we all do need to get it out of our systems.
But no fighting in main rooms.

There is avatar and all other options we all have been missing through the past few years as these places seem to get invisible these days.
Yes you can upload your own images to my server, I can handle a fricken lot .
bbcode welcome, html code welcome (for now)
