What’s on The Agenda?
So… The one company that claims to have no political affiliation whatsoever, has so agenda when they create a Martin Luther king image with big dumbo ears?
Are they saying that King was as big of a bumbling tool as a guy with big ears?
What exactly are they saying?
Doesn’t everyone already agree that Martin Luther king was his own man and doesn’t need some other guy to hype him up? Is this other guy with big dumbo ears riding his coat tail? is that not disturbing already? “I’m great, look at my advertisements see?”.
If this was on purpose to make another man look equally as brilliant as Martin Luther king, then it is offensive. because there is no one alive with big dumbo ears that compares to King.
So… who needs to be fired for this mess?
Will that person cover their tracks and block me in that site’s search so no one sees this?
Kinda how the past 3 years have been.. So maybe.
Strawberry Meth Hoax
Facebook users are passing around a fake warning about “Strawberry meth” also “Strawberry quick”.
The first sign that you need to look for when believing these types of posts, is “does this person allow you to comment?”
If no, then there is a good chance the image is fake. Much like the public announcements of missing persons. No contact no communication? Fake…..
But the biggest clue in this image that says it is fake, is it is supposed to be a warning to families from a hospital, yet it has emoticon frowny faces.
Yes, police found drugs that were dyed to look like candy, but no the meth does not smell like strawberries. No the candy looking meth is not being passed around schools.
This is completely false and is used to get someone’s score up on Klout.
This image is FAKE and a lame hoax that is feeding off of parental fears and phobias. Also note Snopes
Do us all a favor and share this where you see the hoax being shared and ask that person to share it also.
“ALL PARENTS PLEEEASE BE AWARE!! …There is a drug going around the schools …Its known as Strawberry Quick …or strawberry meth …it looks like pop rocks kids eat & also smells like strawberries & also comes in other flavors like chocolate ect … Pleeease tell your children not to take candy from anyone even a class mate because this drug that looks like pop rocks is actually crystal meth rocked up with strawberry flavor & can kill them :’( …PLEASE REPOST!!! so all parents are aware of this …Thank You! This is happening all over the country” …. :(
How to Make a Template in Autocad
My Autocad templates are full of blocks that I have created and named to make the jobs that are repeated similarities, much easier and much more correct and uniform. I made these templates to simplify repeated drawings that have the exact same floor plans or layout and use the exact same equipment. The equipment is in separate blocks to be layed out per each individual locations unique requests. Maybe this is what you are looking for for your Autocad template.
For this “How to” I am using Autodesk Autocad 2014 in classic view.
If you have never made yourself a template file for Autocad and have a reason that you may need to use the same design on multiple occasions and be able to pull up the default version of the Autocad design with ease. Then this might help you.
In the most simple way, right click any cad file and select “rename” and change the file from DWG to DWT. save. Then place the file into your templates folder.
In a more complex way but not real bad.
Open a cad file, then go to the menu area and select “save as”. Now name the file and below the area you name the file is “file type” select “dwt”. This will automatically place the new Template file in your templates folder when you select “save”.
Now to load the template, you select file in top left of your screen, then select “new”. and in there will be your template file that you just created.
You can update the file as you go along, just be sure to select “dwt” each time you update the template.. And select “dwg” when you have designed something that will not be your default.
How to Create Blocks in Autocad
Let’s start with creating a simple block for this post.
Creating a block is a good way to to lock a set of items in one place to prevent deletion of useful items during editing. creating a block is also useful if you want to use that same block multiple times and call that item back up again with the quickest methods.
First you have to draw the item you want to be in a block.
Once the item is drawn, you can now highlight the item you just drew in cad, and then either right click and select “paste as block” or if you are on a newer version of autocad, you have to turn on the menu at the top of the window . once the menu is activated in Autocad, select “edit” in the droop down menu you will see “paste as block” select “paste as block”
You have now created a block.
Now double click that block. and you will see block editor open. The block will be highlighted in the list of blocks. The name should be random alphanumeric and symbols.
Let’s name that block something you can remember.
Now at the top of that list there should be a space you can type in. The blocks name will be in that spot. Go ahead and copy that name and close the block editor.
Now in the command area type “rename” a new window should pop open.
In the area that says “Old Name” paste in the name you copied, or you can scroll down the list of blocks on the right until you see the name of the block you want to rename. In the field below “Old Name” simply type in the new name of the block and press “Ok”.
You have now created and renamed a block in autocad.
you can easily call the item up with the “Insert command” or just type “i” and press enter.
Please let me know if this was informative enough, or simple enough or not.
Samsung Galaxy Admire 2 VS Motorola Bionic Antutu Benchmark
Got my Samsung Galaxy Admire 2 just last night and took a few photos and a video. Posted the fresh out of the box very first boot up.
Decided to do a performance benchmark for my new Admire 2. To be fair, I had to put the Admire up against my Bionic. The Bionic is a couple years old, but a phone I have always considered to be pretty fast.
Now understand that the Galaxy Admire 2 is the budget Samsung Galaxy. It’s cost at launch through Cricket was just less than 1/4 of current Galaxy phones and less than 1/4 the price of the phone I putting against the Galaxy Admire 2.
Antutu Tests | Samsung Galaxy Admire 2 | Motorola Droid Bionic |
---|---|---|
Ram | 1804 | 995 |
Cpu Integer | 1764 | 1322 |
Cpu Float-point | 1367 | 1121 |
2d graphics | 1190 | 519 |
3d graphics | 3685 | 2670 |
database IO | 555 | 75 |
SD card write | 9.3MB/s 93 | 8.9MB/s 89 |
SD card read | 22.2MB/s 191 | 16.8MB/s 168 |
CPU frequency | 1188 MHz (x2) | 1000 MHz (x2) |
First to be tested was the Samsung Galaxy Admire 2 from Cricket that I got for $49
Next Tested was the Droid Bionic. That cost much more … Much Much more
Now for the two phones side by side.
Watching Antutu run, it was clear right away that the Admire 2 was about to stomp a smooshy spot into the Bionic. It did. FPS rates were different all across the board.

Sharkoon Skiller Keyboard Review
Sharkoon Skiller Keyboard is a gaming keyboard with hot key assignment for every key. I purchased my Skiller keyboard for use with autocad to assist me in alarm design. The hot key functions sounded like the greatest idea.
Alt keys seem to have no function.
Instruction manual is uninformative on this matter.
The backspace button is tiny.
Score Sharkoon Skiller Keyboard 7/10
Samsung Galaxy Admire 2 From Cricket
Built in the Axiom shell is the latest Android Galaxy. This means that if you need a new case or any accessories, you have a good chance of finding the parts you need by simply looking for Axiom. Or go into setting/about device and scroll to bottom you will see a model number SCH-R830c. Google that or search eBay for that number and you will find Axioms and Galaxy Admire 2 are the exact same phone, and share a lot of identical parts.
Video of first boot of my Samsung Galaxy Admire 2 From Cricket to show it’s boot time (scroll to bottom of page). Then pictures to compare the Admire to a Bionic and a Zio. ( Benchmark scores)
I received my Samsung Galaxy Admire 2 today from Cricket. and right away, put the phone on it’s charger. Battery was at about 50% charge upon arrival. (of course I didn’t think to take pictures until a bit after opening and charging)
The sim card and micro SD already inserted. For the record, this phone does not require a special memory card to Cricket’s Muve Music.
Now understand, I am upgrading from a very out dated Kyocera Sanyo Zio. Which is a decent phone for it’s time. But. Single core 600mhz little to no storage, Android 2.2.1. on the plus side, the phone is almost bullet proof. Been dropped countless times and still works fine, no cracks and less than average scratches. It’s a little tank.
Little is the key word. The screen is a bit small so the Samsung Galaxy Admire 2 will be a nice upgrade with near 1/4 inch larger screen.
Here is a front comparison of the two phones the Samsung Galaxy Admire 2 and the Sanyo ZIO
Which doesn’t look like that much pocket space has been compromised, but look at the slight difference in the screen size.
Here is a side photo of the two phones
Very little (if any) difference in thickness.
I do have to admit that for a couple months, I had a flashed Motorolla Droid Bionic from Verizon , but there was this stupid update notice that I was warned not to do. Well one day, I was typing a text…. and the notice popped up. yep… I clicked it. $50 for the flash right down the drain. but the screen on the bionic was huge. and the Android version was Ice Cream Sandwich. Some options and abilities from Froyo android 2.2, gone, but some things ran smoother with ICS. Also I had to replace the screen on the bionic on the second day after flashing to Cricket. Dropped the thing not even 2 feet. Landed on a corner.
Here’s a front view comparison of the Motorola Bionic and the Galaxy Admire 2.
The screen area of the Bionic is nearly the same size as the entire Admire 2.
Thickness comparison between the bionic and the Samsung Galaxy Admire 2.
The Samsung Galaxy Admire 2 is a considerable amount thinner than the Bionic.
Took me too long to figure this out, but the tiny button on the right side of the Samsung Galaxy Admire 2 is the power button. Not the big skinny button in the front.
Now for the initial boot up
Very fast boot.
Shockingly fast.
- Trying to load location for weather
- First Screen
- Balloon Tip
Big issue I have run into repeatedly is the back button and menu button. They buttons are too close to the edge. My fingers barely ever make proper contact. and then add the edge of the case I recently added. Plus, for some reason that space between the buttons and the glass, is somehow active and sensitive. So whatever is on the screen above that space activates when you hit that space.
Is Search Engine Optimization Dead?
Latest news buzz in webdesign world “Is Search Engine Optimization Dead?”.
Short answer:
NO.
Long Answer:
Still no but a few things have changed and a few things have been stopped. You now get penalized for using tactics like Google Sniper. Google bombing, keyword plugging, etc etc. Truth is, that never was Search engine optimization. that was ghetto style pyramid scheme junk.
The team at Google has removed most scams you can pull on Google and just left the actual optimization part in there.
What is Search Engine Optimization (SEO)? Well let’s look at a book store as an example. Imagine if you have a bunch of great books. An entire book store full of books. Now picture yourself opening this new book store. you came up with this cool idea of hiding all of the book in the ceiling tile, and the signs you purchased were inside out, upside down, and behind the building and just say “Dave’s” on them. What is Dave’s? Why is the sign not where everyone expects it to be? Why is it backward? why is it upside down? For that one guy who rolls his car in traffic trying to read the sign in his rear view mirror? It’s not great forethought. Now a person walks in.. Where the heck is everything? Why aren’t these people listed anywhere? they aren’t in a phone book, they aren’t in a news paper… What the heck is this place? When they figure out it’s a book store, where is everything? and why isn’t it in order? Everything is just chunked about in the ceiling area.
Search engine optimization is so you can fix those issues on the internet. Optimize your website for search engines. Pretty simply stated.
Google is leading the way to fixing it so scammers can’t just jump ahead of people with decent content, well organize easily navigated websites. sites with titles that match the content. Page titles that match that page’s content and a small “card catalog” type section built just for search engines so they know what the main items are that you want people to focus on when they hit hat page, the stuff that the page is about. This is called “Keywords”. Some people believe that keywords are dead. They are far from dead. The people that say that “Keywords are useless”, are people who use heavy searched words that are totally unrepresentative of their content. These people just want traffic to their page, they are of no help to society and are scammers.
Meta tags matter.
Meta tags are fairly simple to understand. These are the important ones.
Title: tells people the name of your page
Description : tells people what your page is about.
Keywords: words associated to your content that people will search for that is relative to your page.
Why would you use meta tags?
This is for search engines. Google needs to display the title of the page in the results. So title is important. Description, well all search engines put a small two or three sentence snippet in the search results, it’d be nice if the person doing the search knows what might be there before he/she clicks. Keywords, when they search for a specific item by one word, Search engines will search for sites with that word in it’s keywords and then highlight it in the search results. If it’s not in your keywords and in your actual content, then your site most likely will not show up in the results.
No you do not want to show up in every single search for every single item on the internet. You want to show up for items related to your content. You are most likely to please the reader that way, and your items will move faster.
What Google has done
Google has stopped people from plugging their meta tags with unrelated items and made Search Engine Optimization exactly what it is. Optimizing your website for better search results and they penalize anyone who is scamming the system. This could mean anything from bumping them down in importance, all the way to kicking them out of search engines.
This will help you in all search engines, and help your content be better found by people who actually want your items. If you are set to bring anyone and everyone to your website, you are less likely to bring the people who actually want your items. If you focus on your items and products, then you will receive traffic from people who are looking for your products or services.
The better your SEO is done, and the better your content is, the higher a priority you will become for your items.
