The eBay shipping deception

So, you go to EBAY and select to search only items within your country. Be it so you can find items that will get there sooner, or because you feel safer.
This is your choice.
This is what you selected and this is what you should find.
But there is a secret that people outside of your country know about that you might not know about.
there are companies that are built to give people from outside of your country, a mailing address to set up their ebay accounts with.
In the USA there are a few. Most common are in Compton California,Florida and New York. I will not post the names of these companies because I don’t want to pass this on to other people who want to know how this is done.

What I do want to make clear is that EBAY needs to filter this better.

Why does this bother me?
Here’s an example:
I just bought a phone from my phone carrier. Most expensive phone i ever bought. I researched everything I could on this phone. I looked up a good case for my new phone on Ebay. So i made my purchase through my phone carrier’s website, then I made my purchase on Ebay from a company stating that it is in the USA.
Shipping states that it will take 5 days for the case to get here.
6 days go by, and I have been delicately carrying my phone around. I look online to check the tracking and the information is cleared saying that it will now take three weeks for my phone case to get here. Why? because it takes forever for things to get mailed from the Philippians to the USA.
So here I am ordering yet another phone from some on that everyone seems to stating the shipping was super fast . Hoping I get a case on my phone before the week’s end.

If I wanted a case that takes forever to get here I would have paid for one of the $3 versions of the exact same case. but no. I paid $16 for it to come from the same country as the rest. Only disguised under some weird p.o. box garbage with a lay over.

Just a heads up about the deceptive mailing addresses of some of ebay’s users.
This type of  scam on ebay makes the website utterly untrustworthy and useless.

Receive a Free $250 Gift Voucher from Kroger – Fake Facebook

**Please find the friend that you saw sharing the link to the Kroger Gift Card scam, and post a link to this page for them to read and to share to the person they saw it on.** If you google “way back machine” you will find the internet archive that has a back up of what this page used to tell you. I myself will no longer pay the bandwidth it takes to help facebook.
Facebook post says “Receive a Free $250 Gift Voucher” and has a Kroger logo. Looks legit right?
It is fake.
kroger_gift_card
If you clicked it, log into Facebook and change your password now. You have just been bitten by a scam. This scam is not the doing of Kroger. You have no reason to be mad at Kroger for someone else’s hoax.
Here is Kroger trying to get a handle on the situation.
Kroger is aware and trying to stop it.
To prove this Kroger notice is a hoax, just hit refresh when you are on that page and watch the “remaining vouchers” counter start back over at 173.
Another thing to notice is the “comments” on that page on the left hand side “hansja” his comment says it happened 26 minutes ago.. and that comment stays with that count.
Most this is an advertising company that has crummy tactics and it is likely they are just getting their like and share counts up really high so that when the website changes it’s home page design and logo, it will look like a legit website, and will show in your friend feed to your friends as a page you like. Which in turn will scam your friends by this 100% hoax.

Looks like the same people who have been doing this for years: I offer no more help

Via mass text message or mass social media spamming like this one.
I wonder if they get everyone’s address book if they go to that site on their phones.. hmmmmmmm

Ancestry Sites – Scam

Scammers crawl these sites.
They get a number and track down the owner. locate their relatives, locate their numbers.
Call the relatives and start name dropping people in their family then say that one of them got a loan and used them as a reference. then threaten to send cops after them for a false made up “guilty by association” crime and then say they will not call the cops, if they pay off the family member’s loan amount.

Pretty much rip off your entire family.

Here is how Ancestry.Com is fake and gives fixed results.

ancestry TruXter is a made up word. Well sort off. It’s a misspelling of a real word that is no longer used. In the past 100 years or so it meant “Truck” . correct spelling is “truckster”. It’s origin means “traveler”. Click the image and see what the results I found were.

I tried “Bopanopski” next. Apparently they have a better contextual engine than what the spammers of ten years ago had, where they flooded Google with hundreds of pages. If you haven’t tried any names on Ancestry, please try “Bopanopski” and see what you get.

Look. Here’s the best advice I can give you about computers or the internet.
ANYTHING you see advertised on television, selling you stuff for computers or internet… It’s a scam. Penny auctions, virus scanners, websites or even computer deals. If it’s advertised on television and talks about either of these or sells it, it is a scam. ALWAYS!.

All of the Ancestry websites out today, are fake and do nothing but sell your information to scammers. Not everyone in the world can be related so extravagant person or famous person. So that should have been your red flag.
Problem is, once your information is on there, it’s on there for ever.
All of the real information that these sites have obtained, are from the users. No user will ever be able to see what the other users posts. What you see is fake and even if it was true, the information would go back only so far. Most of the older generations are passed on, or not as well connected with internet usage. So, not much information would be made available to you.

You have been advised. Good luck and happy internetting.

How Reddit is Manipulated

Reddit was a nice place full of what we considered opened minded people with open minded plans.
From time to time you could see a stubborn side to Reddit. When a group of people are on the wrong path with a story and if someone points logical answers to their slight misunderstanding, that person would most likely get downvoted and not seen. Of course their logic is not needed here.
But

This can be manipulated.
Like say, if you comment about a company that has a team of employees who scour Reddit ready to downvote any negativity mentioned about their workplace. Great for them right? The place they work doesn’t go out of business and they keep their job. but the sad fact is, if you are posting about a wrong doing from that company, your post will never be seen. And you will not be able to send out the first alert about a bad company.

Example 1:
If you comment anything negative about Comcast or Xfinity, you will get downvoted and disappear within mere minutes.
Here is an Ex-employee of Comcast trying to do an AMA (ask me anything)
Poor installation from Comcast. Compare the upvotes to the downvotes on the right
How to get even with Comcast
Caught injecting code in User’s traffic.
Caught throttling bandwidth for hulu and netflix. at least 7400 accounts downvoting this.
a Spoof account doing it for jokes but sets the idea that it can be done (read the comment after) Here’s his account how he hunts out Comcast posts to joke on them.
If you ask me how Comcast can do this… Well they have an endless number of I.P. addresses. use your imagination.

Example 2: If you create an original post that is worth being seen, either for humor or for art, if someone is logged on and has more than one account and each account is on a separate computer, using either some proxy service or some anonymizer type program, they could then downvote any and every post that isn’t their product they want seen, using every account they have and running down the list in the “new” section. and then turn and upvote their own and leave witty quips on their comments section, it looks 100% legit.
Sad part is, that Reddit is full of people looking for someone to relate to. and they all know that it is easier to survive that place if you go along with the crowd. No one but the new people will ever agree with you.

Here is an example of that happening
Screenshot of anyone speaking about the post… which is a video posted to YouTube in 2008
RedditScam

So in sum, if you do not speak great of the product, DOWNVOTE!. if you speak bad of the product DOWNVOTE!
If a person wants their product seen, they downvotes anything in the new section, and upvote their own. To ensure it works the way they want, they use lots of accounts to do this.

It’s a great way to push a product on you using the old means of television advertisements. “Everyone wants one, everyone’s buying these, you should to”. except now, you kind of get confirmation (as far as you know) that this statement is true.

Reddit is gamed.

New Version Same old thing Facebook Black Scam

faecbook-facebook-black

So. We all survived the tagging of friends and adding a link below that links to a site that steals your Facebook account password and makes a new post, with your account, tagging all of your friends. Sad thing is, you never know your account is compromised because all of your friends assume you know.
Well the latest one has respelled it’s self. instead of saying FACEBOOK BLACK, it now misspells Facebook and says Faecbook Black.

What the scammer is doing is getting your password and then seeing how many followers you have. at the same time, it spams out a picture that looks worthy of investigation and a link below it with very little information. This causes your friends who are now tagged in the image to say “what the heck is this, it must be good, my friend tagged me in it”. When the scammer finds an account with lots of followers, they will change the password to the account, and then post lots of spam . In the meantime all of the people who have clicked on the link, their profile is now clicking like on all of the scammer’s stolen profiles. The scammer then sells the account to the highest bidder saying “We can get you 5000 likes on Facebook”

So if you click any of those scam links, change your password quick. Post this link on that post (to warn others), Untag yourself from the image because all of your friends are now seeing that image. Go back to the friend’s account that tagged you in the image and message them to change their password and untag everyone from the image and then delete it.

Please let me know if you see a different version of this. Just use the comments section below.

Facebook Contests are PR Scams

These contests never have real life winners unless it’s junk that advertises their regular products. Shirts, hats, sweatbands.
These contests are created to get people to like their page, subscribe to their content and to harvest email addresses for news letters and later to be sold to spammers to fill your email box with junkmail.

This is the lowest form of spam. It’s an old form of spam also. Just with a social media twist.

It looks like a lot of these are put together by the same Pr group hired to “increase social media activity”.
Kind of like the search engine optimization companies who call you about increasing traffic to your website and making it easier to find in search engines… Um… how did they find your website to call you?

Well these winners do not exist. They are just members of the Social traffic companies hired to increase traffic to a company’s twitter and Facebook.

It’s time to move on from Facebook.

Fun With Google Sniper

I pointlessly blocked Google sniper from advertising through adsense on my website.

Why you ask? Why did I block Google Sniper Websites from advertising on my website?

Because I don’t like them. They are a straight up scam.

They talk about scamming an advertising affiliate. and I don’t like swindlers.
They make a thousand websites offering a review of their junk, and then just sell you the junk.
I blocked Google SNiper from advertising on my website for just in case Google Adsense ever allows their scum on their advertsing network. Just in case Google gets bought out by some other swindling company and decides to let garbage like Google Sniper into their system.

For now….. Google Sniper can not advertise on Google, because Google protects their Customers. So no seeing that trash in Adwords.

Is Google SNiper Real ?

Google Sniper Is trash

Do you see how they flood Google? they bought all of those domains and just barely maintain the. If they were real, tehy would have one domain and it would be worth going to.

Google Sniper makes Search engine optimization look bad.

If you want to get your website seen, Don’t use Google Sniper. They will just get you banned from Google and leave you selling their garbage.
Here.. this will help YOUR current website 1000 times better than Google sniper. and it’s totally free. Webmaster tips.
