Dating Sites Review

There have seen many dating sites come and then go. Lots of these dating sites use some dirty methods to keep you interested. Like fake messages of someone is looking for you, or that there are great matches in your email. Don’t even try and remove yourself from the email, list.

But I found one good dating site. A real dating site that lets you actually meet people.

After the millions of Dating sites I have stopped in and got confused by (okay maybe like ten and they all seemed the same….spammy).
Being single again, I find it a great time to wander over and get me a good review out of the top two dating sites. That’s right, Plenty of Fish and Tagged.
After 1 week of Learning the systems of tagged and p.o.f., I feel I can make a fair judgment of the two sites.
Plenty of Fish
Is 100% free for everything you need to meet someone. There are added features when you pay.
Plenty of Fish loads very fast.
There is a “Meet Me” section, much like “hot or not’. You get to hit yes, no, maybe on the meet me page. Really a great option to add the maybe. because I do not know if maybe when you hit no, does that person never show up again? Hit maybe just in case you have to lower your standards or it turns out that’s the best this place has to offer, or just one picture of 20 that is bad.
if you click on yes for “meet me” That person gets a notice that you want to meet them. They then get to respond and tell you “okay” or “um sorry but I met someone already”.

With in 4 days, my Message email was full. Full of messages from real women in my area. Educated women from my area. To me this is very promising.

Tagged
Very similar to Plenty of Fish, you get the “meet me” option, but you don’t get the “maybe” button. it’s a yes or no options only, kind of thing. I am not certain about other cities, but here in Houston, there are tons of No. Like 8-12 no, to 1 yes. Lots of spam. Lots of really trashy women on Tagged (Houston).
Tagged forces you to get pay a monthly fee to see who appreciates that you like them and want to know you back.
There have been a few accounts where I got messages saying that someone responded to me wanting to meet them, but i was directed to sign up for VIP. So I went back through the people I wanted to meet. They were no where in the list. So tagged has set a bad impression to me.
I have been propositioned by what I think is a prostitute on Tagged. Um… no thanks.

All of the matches I recieved from tagged where in other states.

With in 4 days, my messages were full, of spam and messages that made Zero sense. Look people, do not add anything from that site to your yahoo messenger. It would be in your best interest to not even start that problem.

I found nothing interesting in tagged.com. The site isn’t even a dating site much. Tagged is more of a video game farm and bombardment of fake love matching spam.

Of the two sites. I have to give the high score to plenty of fish.
It won’t hurt you to try both and your results may come out different from mine. but don’t get your hopes up on that.
Plenty of Fish seems to be a better class of people. People who can actually type a legible message to you. I have yet to get spam from P.O.F.
So in the End. Plenty of Fish is winner, hands down.

2010 is gone Happy 2011

We said good bye to myspace we jumped to facebook, we opened our heads and hearts more to twitter. and we made the right choice (Myspace is slow as heck now).
Hopefully 2011 Gives us all just as much of a smooth transition to a better realm.
We saw Hulu Launch into a fizzle.
Though the Decade we saw Linux and Microsoft shake hands, we Saw Bill gates and Steve Jobs talk face to face.
We saw Blizzard games and Rockstar games launch into monsters (Rockstar has been sued so many times, we could lose them any day now). We saw activision actually create good games again (first decade since the 80s). We saw Video game consoles have motion sensing remotes, we saw Satellite radio come out with a huge launch and tons of hype and then admit defate and two seperate intities merged to salvage their existence I still only know a few people pay for radio $13 a month is stupid. We saw a president win an election with the assistance of Social media and social networking. We saw a movie called Social Network. We saw Kevin Rose and Leo Laoporte come from a near fatal ending as Video game Tv (g4) and TechTv Merged into G4tv and then become just g4 when it shook off everything tech and 90% of the video game. This left the Tech TV crowd searching for a new place, so they started podcasts and located Tech websites and the like who wanted to have their website mentioned on the podcast. We saw Kevin Rose (of revision 3) become a Goliath with digg.com and Diggnation. We saw 1000000000000001 clones of digg.com like the implementation of the digg button into Facebook. We saw Leo Laporte’s shows just chug along and gradually grow into the Entertainment network it is now at twit.tv. We saw computers make it into our phones. And that is a great move. We are all now a ton less social and have little things we plop into our ear to drown out the world and hold a conversation with someone who is not there . We can now have video chats on our cell phones.
We have seen a great things come this decade. We watched a few great Tech things go. I hope we are still motivated to make more for the next decade.
I hope you all have a good new year
Until 2011 techies, Happy New Year

Something Is Wrong With My Adsense

These Adsense Results do not add up.

Does that not look funny to you?
The average estimate is Every one in every 200 will click. For me it seems it’s one in every 360 users will click an ad.
Out of 93 user who did searches, only 9 of them actually clicked with in the search. I mean really??? how can 93 people do searches and 84 of those people doing the searches say to themselves “oh, my finger is tired, I have clicked to many times, I don’t care what the results gave me, I’m going to bed now” ?????
It seems that not one single person found an interesting advertisement in my feeds. Of 298 readers who’s feed reader could see an ad, none said ” oh heck, that’s what I am looking for”. None.

I have a suspicious feeling that my adsense account is broke. Look at the pay our ratio of the searches. That’s chicken feed actually a Chicken would starve on that.

Do people not know that the Google search on websites are customized to pull better results for related content to the website they are currently on? Do people not know that Google protects their users and will not allow a bad link in their advertising system? A tech site with a Google search on it will have better results for tech related searches than regular Google and Bing put together. Why? because the site owner set their custom search for specific searches.

See Google does not respond to your questions. Google does not have an actual contact. The best you get is a forum full of other people guessing. Typically they  all have the belief that a few people have a more holy guess. usually I ask why my pay is the way it is, 3 days go by and I finally get a response’ you are looking at it wrong” and that becomes the belief amongst everyone. Really how I lookin at it wrong, what part of that, is saying I am getting checks like crazy for some stuff I don’t notice? Haven’t been paid since 2008.

A Stalking Website?

I was just notified that I was listed on a website “spokeo.com”.
They have every single house I ever lived in, listed.
They have me listed at some crazy high amount of income. They show photos of my house from the street. and they show how many people live in my house and their age.
I thought these “find people” websites had a legal standard of what information they could show?
The person who told me this was a sister of mine. She had to move from the area she was living in because of something that happened to her daughter. Needless to say, they never caught the guys, but they occasionally get mail from one or two of them bragging about what they did. So my sister moved. Now she is getting mail from them again. The guy(s) even told her how they found her. and yes they list her daughter there also, and her daughter’s age.

My sister requested herself removed and my mother and everyone else she knew the address of. Spokeo sent a removal confirmation email, but they are all still listed on that site.
I had to locate every home I lived in with in the past 20 years.
I am still listed on their stalking website.
I am legally unlisted. So how they obtained my information clearly was illegal.
Possibly bought and sold a thousand times over.

To remove yourself from Spokeo go to spokeo.com/contact
go to the drop down menu select “privacy”. type in your name. Do not type in your phone number
Tell them to remove you from the list, and leave a link to the page(s) your are listed on.
There sometimes will be a second page with spot for you to post the link and type in a confirmation code.
I didn’t get that confirmation code, but my sister did. Could be because she removed a lot of people.

Everyone please report this website after you request yourself removed from their listing.
Report them to Google as intrusive, report them to bing as intrusive and posting your personal information.
Get them removed from search engines because what they provide should be illegal.
This site could lead to possible identity theft at the least.
Internet security needs to be a bit more secure than this.
This is how you report a bad website.
Here is another form to report a bad website.
Not sure if either of those will do the trick though. If you have a better link, please post it below.

Here is the confirmation email they sent me.

Dear Spokeo User,

Your directory listing(s) have been removed as requested. Please allow 24 hours to see this change.

Thank you for your patience.

Sincerely,
Nancy

You have me listed , I have registered through the Texas state to not be listed in any directories, paper or electronic, other than state officials only. You have every home I have lived in before and after I registered with the state. You might be in violation of federal law. I would like to know who you got my contact information from. They themselves are in violation also. please email me contact information of who gave you my information. as you know, I have to do my research before I bring in a third party. Just as you have to verify who you are listing before you just list. I prefer my privacy.

To the readers of this post, If you have a friend or family member listed on that site and you know they are not tech savvy, please request their information be removed from that site, for them. Please help stop this company from intrusion. Please re-post this on your Facebook account or Twitter account, or email this link to family members.

And yes you can request your information be made private from news, public listings and anything not you or the government. In Texas you have to talk to the Department of Public Safety. It’s a short form. I was in and out pretty quick. Did it back in 1996.

Google Christmas Home Page

I don’t get it.
I have not searched to locate an explanation.
because , well Google’s home page for Christmas time, is stupid.
I can assume it somehow covers a few of the holy day celebrations.
Or something, but if it just strangely spells “Google” I just do not see that.

google home page screenshot

Does anyone have a logical answer as to what the heck the Google home page picture mess means ? the image that is up through the season of 2010, christmas.
