Personal Budget Software re-Review
A few months ago I found a free budget management software. I was quite pleased with what I found. At the time, the Software developer didn’t have any traffic That i could detect. I was skeptical about downloading the budget software. I decided to run a few scans form virscan.org. Clean. Not one issue with the budget software at all. So I installed the free software I got from TZIsoft.
I have written a few things on the net about how I am looking for a bank that has a better online banking interface, simply because I am not very good at keeping up with my records and budget. so I was quite desperate to locate a good safe personal budget software that wouldn’t break me. Again, I can not keep record worth a darn. TZIsoft personal budget software, has been nothing but pure help. I really do appreciate all of the times I could just pop open this software and see exactly what my current spending range is. I have not had MS office on my laptop on years, but I have had open office on the laptop for quite a while, the personal budget software allows me to export my budget report to an MS Office file that is easily opened with open office. I then put the office file on my Droid phone and leave the house. I can then make adjustments through the day, to take the file back with me when I go home. Sometimes I email the thing to myself throughout the day with updates. Sure there are probably easier way of doing that part, but its cool to just know what could happen.
Free Personal Budget Software download page. Look at all of the acknowledgment the coder has now received. You have to scroll to the bottom, that part is like an easter egg for you for you to find after the coder briefs you on the capabilities of the budget software.
Remember, this is a free budget keeping software. This software is not the be all end all software and will not prevent you from doing things you should not do. The writer of this budget and record keeping software made it to help you document your transactions and calculate your current spending limits. Anything you do not input into the budget software is on you. So if you mis-spend outside of your limit, the software maker nor I can be held responsible. Nothing is guaranteed by me other than I liked the software, it was free, and the budget software helped me greatly. I have not been paid to link to the free software nor have I been paid to leave my review. I have never met the coder but i did send a big thank you email and a copy of my first review of personal budget.

Things Facebook Needs
Hey, great place. Facebook is free. I know.
But it isn’t a perfect place.
at first I didn’t mean to log into Facebook and rant to my friends about what I think the place needs. Every single day.
It just happened. Facebook fricken screams for me to notice things about it. some of the things I rant about on Facebook are just jokes and staying with my typical theme. So without further suspense about how I feel about Facebook.

Facebook needs a media player so I can set my own playlist of crap I like so my friends get a chance to sample it as apposed to flooding up the screen with youtube videos… because … well.. that’s pretty much all you got.
Facebook needs ignore a link. If you keep getting the same link from all of your friends and you do not want to ignore your friends 1 by 1. Would be nice to ignore that link.
Facebook needs a fricken time line. I hate logging in to see the crap I saw yesterday. Every post is 17+ hours old. I have to wait 17 hours before I can see what is going on right now????
Facebook needs a thumbs down button. Really you have to check your friends from time to time. If you constantly post only the positive in anything. Well for one, you are a froot! and mainly you do not point out the flaw in their theory. You do not prevent your friend from jumping in a bear cage, just because they like animals, and think the whole world should be more loving.. KINDA like This.
Facebook needs to get rid of that stupid bar at the bottom of the screen. We hated that bar when AOL forced it on us, we hated that bar when netzero forced it on us. We hate that bar.
Facebook needs in the idea of the bar at the bottom, How about private chatrooms that only our friends and their friends can go in. or something like that.
Facebook needs to actually be social. Nothing worse than trying to meet someone and getting a pop up saying ‘ do you really know this person???” how is it social to only meet people you already know ??????

Conduit Toolbar Follow up
Well . I am done with them.
They stopped me at $49.41 (pay out is $50)
Gave me a story of how they now, only pay per install. Because that is how you show good quality… um no dude. quality is continued usage. you make money off the searches through Google using your toolbar, Share the wealth guy. A couple months ago they killed my other toolbar, the one I was migrating to. The truxter toolbar is no longer supported. They have stopped that one because not enough people downloaded it. Um.. wait.. so you stop the downloads because not enough people download it… You know what.. I am done with you guys all the way.
I know for a fact that ten people are in direct usage of the tool bar I snapped together through your a.d.d. farm.
I couldn’t find the spot to drop my account. You deal with it. There are so many curse words I want to fling right now. but I am not doing that.
So here, it is yours, do what you want.
For those who want to know what a 4 year old account on conduit looks like when you are not a spammer, scammer, or a person with malicious intent, here is what the pay out and respect looks like after 4 years of showing people a safe virus free version of their Garbage looks like. A guy that does not put up buttons on a page about some free software and leave a “download now” button for the tool bar right above the other free software on that page tricking people into installing the toolbar by accident instead. No. I left my toolbar with full explanation on pages about that toolbar, in banners. Not some bundled garbage with with weather bug and cool web search crap. The stuff that gives a toolbar bad names.. And this is the Thank you I get.
They have asked me to email them. Why? what’s there to achieve from an email? An excuse pre-planned or concocted from a mass of group thinkers. Screw that. I’m done.

This is Daniel from Conduit. I noticed you have followed up on your post in Truxtertech and I understand you are still unclear about how the toolbar revenue model works. First of all please let me assure you we do not deal with fraud or scams. Everything we do is perfectly legal and according to industry standards. Our purpose is to provide a free and safe environment for publishers to create toolbars which will then engage their users and increase traffic to their site.
The PPI program acts as an incentive for publishers to promote a useful and appealing toolbar. According to the program you will receive payment per each installation of the toolbar. This way we hope to encourage web publishers to get as many of their users to install the toolbar. The rate per each install is based on the performance of the toolbar. So a toolbar which has good components and generates usage by their users would get additional revenue. The purpose is not to only generate installs (which you mentioned as very simple), it’s also to engage your users with a successful toolbar. If I look at your example then; installing the toolbar on every computer you work on will generate you revenue, but it will lower your PPI rate so the revenue you will generate per toolbar might be very low. On the other hand, if many people install the toolbar and use if often, the revenue you will generate per toolbar will be much higher.
I hope this clarifies your concerns. As I mentioned in my previous email, I will be happy to work with you to get the most out of your toolbar. Please let me know.

Wow. Hmm. I hope it didn’t take a whole crew to put that together and it’s okay to say that just one person wrote that email.
Seems I have to make my own toolbar so I can focus on my adsense account search. I spent so much time working on theirs.
and yes I know exactly how many computers I personally installed that stupid toolbar on.
Thanks conduit. Well the time wasted is equivalent to playing solitaire for 4 years. Hope you made plenty of money.
My son sent one out to a bunch of kids who installed his for a week then they all got tired of the game and uninstalled it. He made $75 in a week. I have been making users who keep the thing for years and they have not paid me yet. Oddly enough, I see these computers I work on, they still have the toolbar. but conduit shows that I only have 5 active users. hmm.
I repair computers, and any and every time I see one with some B/S toolbar on it, I install mine to assure that person will not have a virus. I know exactly how many installs I have made, and I know exactly how many users of my toolbar are out there (unless a few people downloaded themselves).
So if you are wondering if Conduit affiliate sucks, or if Conduit pays. I myself can’t answer that question for you. It is for you to decide.

I found on the conduit website people complaining about the conduit pay out. here. I don’t count on them leaving anything like this up much longer “we archived it”
I don’t agree with all or even most of the statements being made about payout being a scam. I surely do not agree with the clowns saying ” you are getting a website enhancement for free”. That’s just stupid. Who likes to see a button on a website that says ” click here to install” ? Who likes to see a big banner asking you to install a toolbar? That is not an enhancement. You are not being done a favor because you link people to software that has a search in it that leads to a greater income to Conduit. You are doing conduit a favor.
The least we can ask for is that conduit breaks us off a bit of the income we bring them by distributing their software. They don’t advertise in google because it would cost them money. So if they want to advertise their software on my site, then they darn sure better pay me. You want that space? rent it buddy. I want by default at least $50 a month for keeping your stupid link up. and for the people that stay using my version of that toolbar, Conduit should pay me atleast 10% of the income that toolbar creats, for my efforts at trying to make a good toolbar that will not get uninstalled at any time. And that toolbar will continually get used for searches and what ever embedded items they draw revenue from.
They are not a group that just makes software for the fun of it.
So if you are wondering if Conduit toolbar actually pays, That decision is up to you
My two cents.
T-mobile and Me
After three and a half years with T-Mobile. I am done, again. Yeah I was with T-Mobile a few years back. I left them for sprint. That in it’s self was a nightmare. I later moved to Cricket who really had good service, but the phones looked like garbage and had nearly no features. After a few years I left Cricket and went back to T-mobile. I guess it was long enough that I forgot what I hated so much about T-mobile. T-mobile had a really nice looking phone they were offering for free with a $39 a month contract. That was a great a deal, considering I was sick of the cheap plastic barely functioning phone I had.
As soon as my new Motorola Rizr showed up in the mail, Google released the G1. I had just signed a two year contract and couldn’t change to the G1. Two years later I finally got my G1.
I was happy with all of the features the phone had, The cool aps that let me log into facebook from anywhere, the myspace ap the twitter ap and all of the little games. All of the additional software you add to the Google G1, neat stuff. but now I was paying 92.40 a month. That’s $100 a month for 300 minutes, unlimited internet, unlimited text. My cricket account I had everything unlimited for $59 a month, but a crappy phone.
I got fed up with the T-Mobile bills so I logged into their website and changed my settings. I ditched the G1 and changed to a blackberry I had in a drawer. Knocked everything down to reflect $59 a month. This was on the 18th of august. My bill was due on the 21st. The next day I got text message from T-Mobile showing my bill will reflect the changes starting on the 19th of August. Here it is, today is the 1st of September, my bill shows I will be paying $91 on my next bill. This of course is before tax. So, something is wrong with my account.
Today I make a call to T-mobile by just pressing 611 on my Blackberry. I go through the whole automated voice thing. I get a second voice that comes on and says all of the representatives are busy and they could call me back in 8 minutes if I opt in. So I did. 8 or 9 minutes later I get a call. There was tons of noise. I could hear dishes, lots of laughter. It sounded like either a bar or a very popular crowded restaurant. i was not sure the guy could hear me at all. There is no telling what was going on up there. Probably someone’s birthday. I am not in anyway mad about celebrating at the office. I am cool with that. just bothered by the fact I didn’t get my issue resolved. The guy really sounded like he did not want to take that call. but he was nice. Just not very involved. The guy tells me that it’s just me paying for last month. No I paid for last month and the text message confirmed this. I told him I was considering changing to another plan they have and he brought to my attention that I would not get the phone deals. I laughed and told him they sold me a G1 that was two years old for $100 off of the $400 price they showed on their website while at the same time the same phone was all over the internet for sell for $150 and less. He plaid “oh your cheap, cheap people aren’t cool” bit with me by saying ” Oh yeah if you go to ebay you can get all sorts of used stuff for almost free”. I popped off with ” Well compusa-tiger direct, and fry’s have ebay accounts and well they were not selling used phones” Before he could go off on what ever he was about to get into, I asked if it would just be cheaper if I dropped my T-mobile account all together. He offered some other plan that would have lowered my bill by like $2. I had to end that call. It was getting goofy, so I said “I have to shop around for a new phone and carrier I will be calling later to pay off the contract”. That phone call had to end.
I have to call back tomorrow. I will keep calling back each day until I get this resolved. if they refuse then at the end of this billing period, I will drop their service. I would do pretty well if I drop off the grid again. i have been getting alot of wrong numbers lately and it has been getting worse. So it would be nice to get a whole new number. Seems some moron out there knows nothing but dyslexic people, or he is himself.
so let’s see what T-mobile does. I think it has run it’s course.

Adbrite Vs Adsense 1 Year
Well all. It has been a year since our post about switching to Adbrite and dropping Adsense. ( We dropped Widget bucks fast)
We didn’t drop Adsense because shortly after that claim, our revenue dropped traumatically.
It is true, you never let people know you are being taken advantage of.
We took some tips from a site about Adsense and posted them.

It seems there is no pay out for people doing searches on the Google searcher. Or at least the pay out is not what we expected.
Google’s pay has dropped (from the way this looks). A Website that made just over $100 a year, split into 7 websites and took on 5 more writers, now only makes $17 year. We have to assume that the current crunch is also on Google. That $100 Was paying for the domain storage. but now, it does not look like this will be much fun any longer.
We are considering a bit of a change though. We are looking of stripping Adbrite from all of the sites except for one, and putting another Adsense ad code in their spot. It will have to be a bit of a slow change so we can monitor the activity. If the change does not go fast enough, then the opportunity of Google Adsense having contextual related ads could be missed. That’s one thing for certain about Adsense. Is the contextual advertisements are spot on. Adbrite is only close if you select the ads yourself. and well, close is not good enough. Close ads are not showing the readers what they may be interested in.
So now we will see what adsense alone does in 6 out of seven website.

Oh and fyi, the $17 you see in ads revenue was just one site with 1 adsense ad on it. And the adbrite $4.5 is across 5 websites in three spots. per site. Clearly adsense is the better choice here.

Starcraft II no Need to Crack
After playing Starcraft ii Wings of Liberty, all weekend long, I have no understanding why anyone would ever crack this game. There is so much you miss out on by cracking starcraft ii. The website has a download for starcraft ii. If you do not get the game legally, you can not participate in any of the events.
You will not be able to do much more than play the 299 bundled missions. You will not see the World of Warcraft like gameplay Easter egg.
There is so much you can do with the registered version that you can not do with the cracked version of starcraft II. For starts you can get updates and patches. Yoiu can participate in the leader boards, you can be in the ladder challenges and online battles for higher rankings.
You can participate in the forums if you do not have the cracked version of Starcraft II.
What does the cracked version give you? Well the Number one reason I see fit in cracking Starcraft II, is you do not have to log in to your messenger every time you want to just play single player. You don’t have to have an internet connection. I mean that’s what games are great for. Times when you have nothing else to do. If you have no internet, then you pretty much have one less thing to do in your spare time. This is an arguement I will stand behind. Also there are people in other situations that need the practice and down time to play alone. This makes a good reason to crack the game. That is cracking the version you own and paid for without distributing a copy to anyone.
I am not for pirating of anything. I am about problem solving and talking the logical solution to resolve issues. If you have to modify a product to better suite your needs then by all mean do so but do not give the whole thing away as if it was your own .
Patch 2 is out for Starcraft II, you couldn’t have even got the first patch if your game was cracked.
You tell me why you would wouldn’t crack starcraft II. Make it good .

The graphics are really nice. Fire looks brilliant. Car skin looks like fresh real paint. All of the cars are beautiful and fast. From the street to the tops of buildings, the city looks amazing and real. This is a pretty game. I mean it in the sense of it looks great and is built to fit today’s computer world. This is in every sense, a Racing Video Game. Menu area is a pretty cool new looking format. They went all out on this racing game.
On the down side, this was a game that was created for a console. Clearly. You have limited control mapping. You have limited Resolution adjustments and tons of current gen console “motion blur”. On the upside, for this high end of resolution, it is very light weight on your hardware. I never once felt lag or lack of response with my 3 gig tri core AMD, Nvidia 250 and 4 gigs of ddr2 pc6400 memory.
I did sense this game looks and feels a lot like Need For Speed Most Wanted with better textures and slight engine add on mod. Added gun thingy and some sort of change to the slow motion . Drafting is there like in Need For Speed Carbon and Undercover. I love all three of those games and wish there was more to them, so this is perfect.
I will be wasting many hours completing this game, even though I have no idea what the story is. Is there a story?
I finished first race hit escape. Totally lost my win. Re-started game and had to enter my user name again. Had to do most of my video settings. Screen resolution stayed but not video quality. Had to enter all of that again.
Not much to the steering. Can’t explain much but will say, you can smash them buttons, you aint turning any sharper.

I didn’t take up on the crap where it makes you invite everyone in your facebook and gmail account. I hope that “Google Me” is as good.
